  • You are rounding your back

  • @fozzyqwerty Thanks man, super helpful. Where were you 3 1/2 years ago when I made this video. Little late now.

  • im only 13 and steriod-free and my max deadlit is 616lbs with absolute perfect-form with bare grip(no straps or gloves)and full-rom and depth! XD

  • @13andincrediblycut Nothing like stunting your growth. My brother had a friend back in pee wee foot ball that lifted like you. Needless to say he's almost thirty now and 5ft tall but still jacked and had alot of growth problems cause of it.

  • @13andincrediblycut THEN U MUST BE REALLY FAT and eat whatever you want, burgers, pizza, and beer to lift that much and be "STEROID" free

  • @13andincrediblycut only on youtune

  • @13andincrediblycut only on youtube

  • Thank you for pointing out that the deadlift involves the back. I'm not being sarcastic at all here. Time and time again I read about lifting the weight off the floor with your legs while squeezing your glutes. That's all, say the experts, your back shouldn't move. WTF, I reply. You need your back to move serious weight. Anyone who thinks otherwise should, as u point put, rethink the movement.

  • step closer to the bar

afterwards your shins should be red

  • @kiiaz

If you hit your shins with the bar, so be it, but it doesn't have to be on purpose. Intentionally dragging the bar on your shins adds friction and is counterproductive.

  • Lift fast if the weight getting heavy lift fast with correct form not using your back or knees lift with your legs Mucles !! master the form !! drink gallon of milk a day !! do 5 sets of 5 reps for every workout increace the weight by 2.5KG every workout day and for deadlift 5kg and you will be a powerlifter and surprise you still at the begging ! read ALOT OF BOOKS and watch Videos Bad vs Good and study !!

  • Thank you. So just drink milk and add 5kg every week?

If I do this for a year, I will lift over 500kg. Is this a good lift? That is only 1100lbs. I'm not sure if this will be fast enough progress, I want to get strong very fast.

  • @TModi you stall in your journey man plus its an entrance for new lifters like me and i hope i lift 500kg for deadlift next year i hope !

  • @xshadw

Ok, good luck with your goal.

  • @TModi surprise man i just failed on my first add on deadlifts last time i deadlift 60kg but after i added another 5kg (2.5 for both sides) my form was good on rep 1 and 2 after trying to pull the weight i failed ? do you get this in your first journey plz answer ?

  • @TModi does your heart hurts after you done the rep ? i dont use my back i engage my Abs muscle like someone is gonna punch my stomach and i squeeze my glutes sometimes is it ok ?

  • @xshadw

If you aren't using your back, maybe that's why you failed at 60kg. The abs are a great stabilizer, but they aren't going to lift the weight for you. If you think Deadlifting doesn't involve your back, you need to rethink the movement.

  • Then you need the extra strong "vitamin" my friend. Best way to get strong very fast...

  • u really dont have a clue wat ur talking about if u cnt deadlift 60kg nw then u got no chance of 200kg next so get 500kg out of ur head . the world record is 457.5kg by andy bolton

  • Nice lifts. The only thing I would do differently is keep your head down. You want to keep your neck in line with your spine. Arching the head back causes hyper-extension of your cervical spine. As for the rack pulls, do not arch so hard with your lower back at the top of the lift.

  • I think you do it correctly......good technique!!

As for someone below, who says about the risk of lower back injury, well....deadlift is quite risky compared to other exercises, that's the reason you shouldn't do deadlift too often in a week.

  • am do body science at the uni, so it up to you to believe or not... coz it you who will suffer the injury.

  • Either you competitive powerlifter or not, this exercise is not design to bust out movement. By moving too fast you doing thing call "cheat reps", you using momentum rather muscle to move the weight.

second you're wrong. No Olympic lifters ever bust out movement on deadlift. They only bust out movement to do power clean, to bring that weight up to chest level.

last, crossfit is seal trainning, and they do it harder then athletic. Still they move the weight slowly up and slowly down.

  • I don't know where you get your information from.

I can only hope that you are not resposible for passing knowledge along to younger lifters.

  • lolllllllllll nice one

  • @boy273 TRY TO MOVE SLOWLY WITH 100KG BEHIND YOUR BACK AND SQUAT ASS TO GRASS LETS SEE IF YOU FAIL OR SUCCESSED I LIFT SLOWLY WHEN I DO LOW WEIGHT SQUAT TO MASTER THE FORM BUT FAST IF THE GET TOO HEAVY ITS POWERLIFTING NOT BODYBUILDING SHITS AND LIES

  • i never heard of that objective before. And I hurt my lower back before, cause by fast movement of pull weight. Luckily, acupuncture fix it but now i have to use bell for dead lift. So, it up to you to believe me or suffer the same problem. Anyway, the objective of this lift, is to do it slowly (no bust movement). And you will benefit it more then you ever imagine

  • I am a competitive powerlifter. The objective for me is to lift the most weight possible. You can not do this by trying to move the weight slowly.

Perhaps you are thinking of the slow eccentrics that bodybuilders focus on?

Look at Olympic lifters. They are some of the strongest pound for pound guys out there, and they move the weights as quickly as possible.

No athletic movement is done in a slow manner. Everything centers around being explosive, and so should the training.

  • i don't think you suppose to do it, in a fast speed. I don't know if you liberally doing it or the video effect. Fast movement in weight lifting could result in a bad injury.

  • Seriously? The object is to move the weight as quickly as possible.

  • You can see his toes pop up when he getsup to 225 it means hes driving with heels of his feet. Good technique

  • I got a question. When lifting am I supposed to engage my legs or back first. Do I need to pull the weight by using my back or pull the weight by pushing my legs and standing.

  • It's not really one or the other. You need to do both at the same time (while fully engaging your core). Pushing your legs (heels) into the floor will engage your glutes and hamstrings, and pulling back on the bar will keep the upper back and traps engaged and keep the bar close to your body.

With that said, the movement is a Pull. So you don't want to just Squat the weight up. You must pull the weight back into you as you stand.

  • noice

  • 5 stars

    good technique
