According to Wikipedia (of course, it could be wrong...), Within Temptation formed in 1996 and Evanescence formed in 1995. Both Sharon and Amy are amazing singers, and their styles are different enough that comparing them is kind of like comparing apples to oranges... It just doesn't work. I think it'd actually be really cool to hear them sing together, although I don't know how well their voices would blend :P

Amy and Tsukiko are studio singers, their voices only sounds good with filters and this stuff, but Sharon doesn't need filters, her voice is natural powerful and beautiful. That is a lie.. I went to see evanescence in concert live, and Amy sounds awesome.. Her voice needs no filters to sound good.. Trust me she sang an acoustic version of Lithium and she sounds great..
