Another question: I followed the steps presented to remove audio pops in STP. Everything proceeded just as your easy-to-follow tutorial presented. However, after going through the analyze-fix all routine over and over on classic audio pops, most of my pops remained. I contacted Apple Help via phone and they told me that STP may not be able to remove pops in some clips, and they offered no other solutions except for my suggestion of manually removing them with the pen.
Did you try adjusting the threshold for the Clicks and Pops filter? That's the only adjustment available for that particular filter.
I've had decent success using the filter as a 'first phase'. If you highlight smaller sections at a time, I've found that it tends to do a better job.
After I sent my audio to STP, I got the following error message:
"render.mov could not be opened."
So I cannot use STP on any of my audio files in my project--which have tons of popping. I looked on the web to see if there were any reasonably simple fixes and so far no simple fixes. Any suggestions?
@GDVTutorials Thanks for response . . . I resolved the problem and here is how: I simply removed the semicolon from my clip name and I was then immediately able to send my clip to STP. (I even called Apple Care twice and they couldn't resolve it--and yes I called them back with the solution so the next poor soul won't be lost for days).
For some reason, STP has will not accept a clip name with a ; in it. Easiest fix . . . simply change the ; to a : in a clip name and problem is gone.
Thank you very much for uploading these tutorials!!!

Are you running Final Cut Pro 7? Has SoundTrack Pro been installed correctly?
Also, a good troubleshooting technique is to delete the Final Cut Pro preferences. That may solve your problem.

Hi, I believe you may have a permissions problem and/or your render folder is corrupted. Here are some things to try:
- Delete your render files for that project.
- Setting your capture scratch for the render files to another location.
- Try saving the the Soundtrack Project to a different location (perhaps another hard disk)
- Worse case scenario, try running SoundTrack Pro outside of Final Cut Pro and re-import the file.
