I started out with five, but he ate them all - and every single one i tried with later on...

I just think he better liked living on his own :)

I always have had small fish with mine, it seems to work best with the ones which are fast and without bright colours..

Yes, i've had Red Bellies for 8 years now, and none of them have been eating my plants :)

Occasionately i've seen bitemarks, but i guess that happens when they miss there prey...

Only problem would be there size and the fact that they swim rather fast and therefore could rip small plants up when the pass them...

The Piranha was so big, that it didn't see the tetras as food any longer, maybe he ate 1 or 2 a month, but that was all :)

Nope, this is a Pygocentrus Nattereri - a Red Belly Piranha - max length about 35 cm... :)

Here in Denmark you can buy Piranha's at almost every LFS :)
