  • I think THIS is the most beautiful song! AND I love this version with the orchestra the best! (to the person below,Faithand practice...ANY guitar Yngwie puts his hands on sounds great! He has the touch, experience and emotion to do so...YOU listen..don't watch, just LISTEN)

  • Please cut you hairs

  • Yngwie is the man. Check out my song, on my channel, "Inspiration Well", where I try to play like the heroes. I do Joe Satriani, Kee Marcello, Mark Knopfler, Slash and Yngwie.

  • @CSCip1978 You should seriously look into a grammar class before you appreciate the great Yngwie's skills over a keyboarding medium. Absolutely horrendous, I would contend that you do change your relation of understanding. Of course my response would appear mean, but you my friend embarass the very being of this music. Yngwie has this understanding, you do not. Save everyone else by never commenting again. You are useless and have no bearing on the subject.

  • @poopstainer666 flame post = you fail

  • This take me to a trip to myself...

  • guitar sounds crappy... like a wooden plank.. hes great though but damn..

  • @bigkrocmaster play it yor self then!!

  • So hard to play in this speed with nylon strings.

  • CLICK,CLICK,CLICK,CLICK,CLICK,CLICK CLICK,CLICK,CLICK,CLICK,CLICK,CLICK

    CLICK,CLICK,CLICK,CLICK,CLICK,CLICK

    That's all I heard form Yngwie. :(

  • @ElectricGuitarify YOUR DEAF AND YOU DO NOT ALIVE !!! YOU ARE NOTHING..=P

  • this song is sooo haunting and ethereal, it's a masterpiece. he is a GENIUS

  • This is absolutely beautiful and full of emotion. The people calling it souless are idiots!!!!!!

  • The BEST!!

  • Is that instrument behind a harpischord? I can't spot it but i think that's its sound.

  • el mozart de la guitarra.

  • Masterpiece !!

  • Becuase Yngwie is passionate about his music . Him being a student of Classical Music, shows He is channeling all the great music composers through him and the end result is somethnig that is both breath taking and refreshing. HIs love of music is for all who enjoy feasting on it can appreciate.

  • this was made for his wife april and i guess he got her really quick

  • Comment removed

  • Love it!

  • How can you play a guitar like that.. wish I'll play like you, someday..

  • The man is the master of arpeggios, legato, and diminished scales and plays with such accuracy. His technique is flawless FLAWLESS

It's not about playing fast or slow but the when he plays fast every note is dean on.

    Malmsteen is

Consistent and had the stamina, musical talent, and technique that none of us will ever achieve.

  • @CSCip1978

That last part is just utter bullshit. There are a lot of guitarist just as good as malmsteen. Not all of them are famous.

  • Come on people... His facial expression....the way he moves, is almost ORGASMIC. I can tell.

  • but yeah no soul at all.. no feeling. and it sounds like his guitar just ate some pop rocks or something

  • @wompum11 it is because he is picking with nylon strings

  • @hawkhater7 yeah i know its a bad choice of a guitar.

  • please, the best musicians in the world (classical) strived to achieve this "coldness" of spirit and music. Cheap emotionalism in music, or drama, was considered bad performance. A little study could help better understand classical propositions and music which by the way takes years to educate the ears. Malmsteen is one of the great ones.

  • 75 people prefer Justin Bieber

  • The only reason he doesnt play with his soul is cause he sold it to the devil in trade for the best guitar skills in all of the universe.

  • Man I have a hard time listening to such beautiful music played on such a crappy guitar. Come on YM step your game up and buy a $25,000 hand built guitar made out of wood instead of some graphite piece of caca.

  • @faithandpractice The sound of this guitar is some of the most beatiful I have ever heard. Wouldn't sound nice with an electric guitar.

  • @RydENh34d I never mentioned that he should have used an electric guitar. I said that he should use a hand crafted guitar instead of some mass produced graphite back ovation. There's a reason why you don't see any world class classical musicians using what he's playing. They don't sound good. But then again beauty is in the "ear" of the beholder. If you think it sounds good that good on ya mate.

  • He's shredding on a grandpas guitar lol

  • @CherubicGuardian haha, telling Yngwie to play slow is like Skwisgaar Skwigelf to play slow. It's likes whens dey tries to plays da blues.

  • this is no chicken noodle soup with a soda on the side

  • Malmsteen: The King of the kings!!!

  • NO ONE FEED THAT TROLL

  • @codyahernek Sorry...too late. LOL.

  • @SilverHamer aha, way to be.

  • His guitar sounds like shit and this piece of music is so dull, repetetive, and does not seem to go anywhere. All this guy can do is shred, play as fast as he can, so people are impressed with his speed while forgetting he does not seem to have a creative talent. Shredding is not a talent. BFD. It sounds like SHIT.

  • @kuhnmartin And this coming from a gutless, talentless, youtube hater who has ZERO uploads of himself posted on his channel. This fucktard is just a clanging bell making a bunch of noise to draw attention to his pathetic self for some reason. Perhaps he has a tiny dick and is attempting to make up for it by bitching about Malmsteen...I doubt this shitbird could make any sound that sounds even remotely as good as the worst guitar player on youtube. What a fucking idiot.

  • @SilverHamer That's what I thought.

  • @kuhnmartin bet you never put together a song that contains at least one key change let alone in the middle of the melody pattern. The shredding is just the package, this guy replicates baroque in a very smart way, and just to let you know vivaldi and bach is also extremely repetitive on the surface but noone dares to call them talentless. End of story.

  • @PlanetAutumn Shredding just sounds like shit. End of story.

  • @kuhnmartin yeah but he does not shred

  • @kuhnmartin Tell that to Paganini, Rachmaninov, Litz, Bach and Brahms.

  • @kinkyjew672 I don't understand your reply. Tell them what? That shredding sucks?

  • @kuhnmartin this kind of music stimulates our brain and makes us creative. Why do you think shredding sucks? I'm just curious.

  • @PlanetAutumn I compare it to Mexican Banda music. It all sounds the same. Mexican Banda music practically the same beat in every song and they all virtually sound the same, even the guys in the Mexican Banda groups look like clones of each other. Shredding just all sounds the same with the lone exception of Eddie Van Halen. I am not a huge fan of his, but I can tell by listening to him he has a little more of something special that others like Malmsteen doesn't. It's just play as fast as you

  • @kuhnmartin I think with regards to this guy the shredding component is maybe 5-10%. Music and especially the overall performance has to be considered in it's whole context and I think the key in malmsteen's music is that you have to listen to the whole composition and not just the soloing. I don't care who shreds better, I'm paying attention to what is painted on the canvas. Noone told us though that we cannot have different ears.

  • @PlanetAutumn And we do have different ears. My ears tell me that when I hear this guy start to play I need to hit the mute button. Your's tell you something else, and that's fine. We have our own opinions.

  • @PlanetAutumn can. In almost every video of Malmsteen that is all he does. Play incredibly fast. He seems incapable of doing anything else. So he plays fast, big deal. Sometimes slow, or slower, is good. You can feel the music. Listen to Hendrix play Machine Gun at the Fillmore East and when he hits that high note on the seventeenth fret and it just feeds back, in the context of the whole song, that note has feeling and emotion. That's just ONE NOTE. It's like some girls don't want guys screwing

  • them like a rabbit because they can't really feel the sensation because the guy is pumping away to fast. Slower, and they can feel it more. Same thing with shredding. I just do not get the appeal of it at all, especially this guy. He sometimes seems like he is just trying to show off as much as he can because he can play so many notes in such a short span of time. BIG DEAL. It does not sound good. But, beauty is in the eye, and the ear, of the beholder and the listener.

  • @kuhnmartin Yeah, because they could all shred their instruments pretty damn well. The guitar is so prejudiced against, like if you did some fast stuff on the Violin or piano, then you'd be a good player.

  • @kinkyjew672 I would be saying the same thing about a violinist or pianist if all they did was play as fast as they can all of the time, but I have never heard one play like that. They know it would be boring and that there are other ways in music to try to express feeling and emotion, and playing as fast as you can all of the time is not one of them.

  • @kuhnmartin There are ways of expressing oneself and playing fast. I do it all the time. Yngwie slows himself down. It does get boring after a while, but only if you don't do what David Bowie did and constantly reshape your musical ideas.

  • @kinkyjew672 I agree.

  • what guitar does he use?

  • @masssmann ovation?

  • MALMSTEEN CON ESTA BELLEZA PARA MI TERCER NOCHE DE SOLEDAD, TRANQUILIDA Y PAZ, CADA DIA ES MENOS EL DOLOR GRACIAS A DIOS

  • ...he shoud have used his fender here..just fees like he is jamming up there...rathere than paying some music....and cassica guitars ar not meant to be played like that

  • @shishir16089 ever heard of Paco De Lucia? Al Di Meola? This is how nylon strings can be played. Classical is a STYLE of music. fucking noob

  • @sux0rz that's the point i am talking about ..paco de lucia uses cassical way of shredding he knows what he is suppose to do with that instrument...nylon strings sounds best with flesh..not with a pastic pick,..

  • Yngwie enjoys long walks in the park, candle lit dinners, and making every guitar he plays orgasm.

  • I love the idea of these shredders playing with an orchestra. But I haven't heard it yet that sounded as cool as I'd hoped. Not bad, just not as awesome as it could be.

  • I hear a little old"King Crimson" in the sweeping moments, I saw Malm at the riviera theatre at G3live in 03,Satch is my fave but didnt rock as much as i would have liked, but we made eye contact at one point while he was rocking his best groove of the night so that was cool, Vai rocked. Satriani Is the wizard. Peace.

  • i tell you this type of music kills the garbage that people call music today!!

  • @IFapToMusic Dont Get Blind IF you want an if you practice you can do everithing you want men just dont say we cant, if he could why we cant?

  • @TheSainterman ?????? confused man lol

  • @IFapToMusic hahaha i guess xD

  • @APolkaLips Obviously I wasn't being serious.. I'm not going to classify everything written with natural minor shit. About half of the songs in my band use Natural minor, but in general it's a less practial scale because cadences don't sound as strong, especailly with perfect cadences and interrupted cadences.

  • I hate the guitar sound though. He should have taken more care of that, the plucking is way too loud, he should have gotten a guitar with the element at the front so that you do not hear the plucking as much.

Or is it just me who is annoyed by it?

  • @v0rk you complain too much, this composure is awesome, nothing wrong with yngwies performance and if you have a problem with his picking and style why dont you show us you can do better? oh you cant, people who sit on their fat asses with no talent sure have alot to say towards the talented. your hardly qualified to even judge his performance let alone whine about his loud picking. grow up.

  • LoL,this song touch my soul

  • this is so relaxing and this is a master piece

  • i wish i was there

  • Beautiful!!

  • I think the only reason people think he doesn't play with soul is because he looks like he doesn't give a fuck while he's playing.

  • @toxicjl i think u should look at him closely,in years ive never seen a person FEEL his music as much as this guy

  • @toxicjl Thank you for making me laugh

  • @toxicjl I'm not sure how anyone could say that he doesn't play with his soul when you see the emotions written on his face. If he didn't care, I don't think that he would be playing and performing...

  • gwe bngeetttt.. ^^

  • BEAUTIFUL! Some people say that heavy metal musicians cannot be classical and and it is the music of the devil. That may be so but then again it was classical music that gave you the music you listen to today. Yngwie listened to a lot of Classical music growing up as a kid and it shows. I love this song. I just happened to come across it one day by pure accident and I'm glad I did.

  • its april 1st!!!

  • i hate this man when he just plays notes without any emotion. he is like "oh look! i can play fast!"

yeah we know that malmsteen... but please. start playing some "music" instead of showing people how fast your hands are.

  • @toylun But this is music. This is the way he expresses his own self. He is find the way he plays. Slower "Music" is easier to follow. Thats the only difference I see.

  • @toylun Your inability to find beauty in his music doesn't prove that there's no beauty in it. Some, like me, find beauty in his music. To me, the technicality of it doesn't detract from its being enjoyable. I'm sorry you don't find beauty in it, 'cause you're missing out.

  • if il die in april play this song for me

  • i will cry so hard if i can play this

  • what a masterpiece

  • this would be unreal if he fixed his tone! always hated yngwie's acoustic tone!

  • @hunnuit its a classical guitar with a mic in front of it you cant change the tone

  • @TheSentinals101

The type of guitar, strings, microphone, amp/PA all have an effect on the tone. Not to mention the biggest factor; how you play (he is using a pick which is a big no-no for classical guitar).

  • @iTzNoxy thoes are sch small changes it doesnt matter but i hear wat you mean witht the pick but try playing this song without it but oh well hes still better than you :P

  • @hunnuit how its just a nylon stringed guitar and a mic

  • soooooo wonderful !!

    thank's Istepic for sharing !!

    all thumbs up

    friendly greetings

    SYL

  • i think the video is making the guitar sound very compressed

  • I love you Yngwie but you have horrible sloppy pick finger noise on acoustics , it's on every song where you play an acoustic .

  • @TheAgentAssassin no he hasnt! He sounds great!

  • adsafdagasdasd

  • I didn't know that Dr. Michio Kaku was also a music conductor :-)

  • Fkn' shredding ruins the song..

  • Yngwie is too extreme to play with American symphonies, so he went over seas, to the place where extreme is perfected in music, technology and action cartoons.... JAPAN!

  • @RonMaday Japanese anime is more than action you know.I have seen lots of comedy mystery and just flat out serious anime as well.Sorry if its a bit of a rant but just saying.I'm a big anime fan but I only like two action shows and one is making fun of action anime.

  • @guitarnub3 if the point of the second show is to mkae fun of action anime, then action anime is obviously a noticeably phenomanon, and this is coming from someone who enjoys anime, but you kinda just shot your own foot there

  • @bellewether1 I was correcting someone who only defined anime as action.I was just saying there are more genres than action in anime.

  • @guitarnub3 don't get me wrong, i'm agreeing with you

  • gracias yngwie

  • I thought it was a nice song until 1:07...I made the mistake to think he wasnt going to shred that poor classical guitar XD

  • @arcanumi he couldn't stop himself from shreding....

  • Man. sometimes he needs to fucking stop shredding. This song was perfect until

the unnecessary shredding totally destroyed the atmosphere.

  • @ledgm108

[sarcasm on] It's Maestro Malmsteen! What do you mean 'stop shredding'?![/sarcasm off]

    :D

  • muy buena

  • I want one of those guitar stands that let you play standing up - anyone know what they're called or where I can get one? (I cant find any)

  • @viewervideo011242234 'Guitar Holder' gave some good results in google images ;) Maybe you can find it from there ;)

  • @viewervideo011242234 It's called a (acoustic) 'guitar walkup stand' i recently looked these up. Hope this helps

  • @undertkerrox Thats it! Thanks for this. For those who are wondering then: The brand names I found that are available are 'Gracie', or 'Mbrace' - not cheap tho :-/

  • why shredding classic guitar :<a ndgive it more midtones

Blackmoore, Giardino, Van Halen, etc,

  • NEVER , I SAY NEVER CUT THE END LIKE THIS

  • wow hes actual shredding on a fucking classical guitar, ur kidding right ?

  • Comment removed

  • @Pucothemage007 noes! for real! D:

  • @leolr111

    tu lo haz dicho!

  • @leolr111 tienes razon

  • he play awesome, but why always take away all the treble on the acoustic guitars, the eq sounds incredible bad, imagine this performance with a sound more like paco de lucia,

  • Is the paganini of the guitar¡¡¡¡

  • hes a gay pirate XD

  • @customan10 lmao for the WINNNNNNNNNN

  • what type of guitar is that

    cant find it anywhere

  • @joelakastud123 six string, made of wood, should be pretty easy to find.

  • @sargentD808 hey thanks

that such good help it makes me wanna go chop my own balls off

  • @joelakastud123 thats an ovation cc44 i believe, otherwise very similar

  • el mejor

  • Yngwie is god and jason is the king!

  • no hay mejor neclasico woow me encanta!!!

  • this Piece reminds me of The legend of Zelda

  • rock + classical music = Yngwie!

  • bices nekad cijenjen kao Bah i Betoven , nerealan si ...

  • LOL , a pornstar pirate

    thats too funny

  • harmonic minor is his trademark

  • Comment removed

  • @tjh196 yeah imposes that form over most of his work regardless of tonal setting haha its wonderful

  • @tjh196 It's the most common minor scale, it's jsut the way he uses it. No one uses natural minor, it's chord progressions are shit :P

  • nobobody ever beat him.

  • wasn't this song written for his wife... APRIL MALMSTEEN???

  • @Rvgrungeman it may well have been, I wonder the same thing myself although it sounds like it may have been inspired by the song by Deep Purple called April. There are parts of the melody that sound similar. Yngwie is a fan of Ritchie Blackmore as far as I know so perhaps there is a connection. I'd be interested to know.

  • i love his music but it sounded awkward to me ,shredding the ovation,i heard noise tack-tack-tack all the time

  • @greenmahidol

Agreed - He has the worst 'acoustic' tone I've ever heard. I just dont see the point in playing exactly the same way as on the strats. He should take a leaf out of his master's book and see what Blackmore does.

  • amazing...it would be better if he had used a real guitar and not this plastic piece of shit...why he chooses this ill never understand...probably beacause of endorsment. And for all of u trolls who will defend this piece of shit guitar we all know Malmsteen is cult enough to know that there are much better guitars than this one for this set.

  • One word. Magic.

  • Is there any way somebody can tell me what scale is he using on this . I am aware that this is a pretty shallow question beacause he uses all cind of them eaven in one song . What im really after is rly to find a scale that would resemble something like this , the good old pentatonic is getting boring .

  • @SanderKivi

Sounds like he's using natural minor, major, harmonic minor, perhaps melodic minor, others. For someone who only knows the pentatonic it would be good to learn, natural minor, then move on through all the modes; locrian, ionian, dorian, phrygian, lydian, mixolydian while relating them to underlying chords, then learn the harmonic minor while doing the same thing.

    But don't rush yourself!

It's pointless learning all these scales if you don't know how to use them, hope this helped...
