Actually, I own this exact same machine type. Obviously, his method doesn't work, but you also can't set these to win every time. At most, you can set it to payout 98% of the money put into it. The problem is, this slot, like most any Japanese slot, is all about the jackpots. Since the jackpot payout is so huge (hundreds of dollars), even set at max payout means the machine only "wins" about one in six times (excluding 'replay' events).
So, how did he do it? Recorded until he won of course!

This is a Pachismo machine, not a true slot. The stop buttons are not a skill in this country, only hastens play. North Carolina requires 'nudge' buttons on their slots so the player can feel he has some sense of skill. But the RNG still rules.

Just to explain to you all how this was done (I have owned 5 of machines machine before by the way, there called "pachislos" - google it).
These machines as a bonus often tell you what the result of the next spin will be, despite it looking like the kid is stopping it with button presses he is indeed not, the cpu dictates where the reels shall stop, he started filming after it told him he would get x-x-x- symbols on the next spin.

err.. not 5 seconds "exactly" the time you stop the slots varies a couple of milliseconds which could make a difference in the outcome of the slot. check the youtube playtime.
the time you press it:
29s(or 29.5s by my estimates)
34s
37s(or 37.5s)
and 41s (or 40.5s)
i do believe that your eyes or hands (or both) reflexes already know how to play this slot machine game. your demo isnt really about the time.

Actually, I own this exact same machine type. Obviously, his method doesn't work, but you also can't set these to win every time. At most, you can set it to payout 98% of the money put into it. The problem is, this slot, like most any Japanese slot, is all about the jackpots. Since the jackpot payout is so huge (hundreds of dollars), even set at max payout means the machine only "wins" about one in six times (excluding 'replay' events).
So, how did he do it? Recorded until he won of course!
