I met derrick back in 05, He was at a high school presentation here in london, At the same I didn't know who he was, due to my age, But I looked in my pictures and found one I had with him, Thought Id look him up now Im older, And found this video.. amazing to think I met him.
Where is God you ask? He is right there and is is answering you but you are not listening. YOU can't hear Him. In 2007 I lost my job and untilmately lost everything when I should have been close to retirement. I no longer had a home, no 401k, my savings went away very fast & @ 60 the only job I could find paid $8.00 and hour. Not anything close to the 6 figures that I was used to making. But God said, do not worry -- He provided everything that I needed. I am now getting back on my feet.
I loved this video except the last 20s or so when it referred to god. Why couldn't it have mentioned to strength of humanity. Why does it have to reach for a greater being. It's almost like we have no faith in ourselves such that we have to find faith in something else. Sure, for some it is their belief, i respect that. But imo I believe a better video would be to remove that section so that it can greater touch the hearts of all, not just those who believe in god.
"God where are you?" is said most of the time. But HE is still there through those dark valleys. Through the high or low God is still there. When your down to nothing, God is up to something. Don't stop praying and praising him when the curtains are closed because he still has plans for you, all you have to do is walk according to them. God's silence doesn't mean God is absent.

But actually the things we want in this life are only important to us now, God wants to make us happy for eternity. I'm an Atheist. and I gotta say this video brought me to tears, the thought of having someone who could lift me up and help me was very encouraging however I see it more as a psychological thing the mind can think up very abstract ideas I watched a video early about "tickling your brain" it showed that if you imagine tickling a specific part of your brain it can actually make you feel better and think clearer. Don't allow the enemy to take from you what God gave. God has been, is, and always will be the God of this universe. Trust and Believe also have patience.
God is there .. he has answered your prayer even if that answer seems to be no answer. We cannot see the "Big Picture" and God is not our "fairy godmother".
Sometimes testing serves a purpose in our lives and those around us. In times of testing we discover out our true character, and sometimes that of others, and it's when we find out who our true friends are.
I'm not saying this from a privileged viewpoint either. I have many struggles too. Remember the serenity prayer and have faith.

Nice video, but at d ending shouldn't have mentioned God. Our parents,family, friends, sudden strangers who help us r our real saviors. Dey feed us, & help us grow. In this video, a miracle didn't occur i.e. his torn hamstring didn't heal itself automatically. THAT is the work of God. What we mere humans can do is to treat it with bandages and medicines (or with love like his father).

i am this athlete today, the last day of my BM class. But, as I believe that my heavenly Father will show up to help me when I really need Him. No cross, no crown - You see God stood back to give me opportunity to fight the battle and win, and as a winner I can shout the victory song... Alleluia, Amen

I have seen this many times and it STILL brings tears to my eyes. Yes GOD is just like this. He does help his children, those who call him Father God. If we deny him we miss out on his blessings. Yes we go thru trials ,so did Jesus -for Us. Everything is His timing -not ours. Don't miss out on God's blessings.

I'm an Atheist. and I gotta say this video brought me to tears, the thought of having someone who could lift me up and help me was very encouraging however I see it more as a psychological thing the mind can think up very abstract ideas I watched a video early about "tickling your brain" it showed that if you imagine tickling a specific part of your brain it can actually make you feel better and think clearer. I tried it and it worked. so maybe believing in God works something like that.

God does'nt come when YOU want him to, he moves on HIS time. Believe that he is an on time God try reading his word and believe and continue to pray. He lets you go through to see how much you trust him the less faith you have the less you receive. He said seek his Kingdom first then he will give you the desires of your heart. Don't allow the enemy to take from you what God gave. God has been, is, and always will be the God of this universe. Trust and Believe also have patience.

God is there .. he has answered your prayer even if that answer seems to be no answer. We cannot see the "Big Picture" and God is not our "fairy godmother".
Sometimes testing serves a purpose in our lives and those around us. In times of testing we discover out our true character, and sometimes that of others, and it's when we find out who our true friends are.
I'm not saying this from a privileged viewpoint either. I have many struggles too. Remember the serenity prayer and have faith.

Thank you for sharing this video. It was certainly enlightening and I couldn't help but to think of the times when my father came to help me in life. God made his presence known through Derek's father when he ran over to support his son. It was very heart-touching to watch.

Nice video, but at d ending shouldn't have mentioned God. Our parents,family, friends, sudden strangers who help us r our real saviors. Dey feed us, & help us grow. In this video, a miracle didn't occur i.e. his torn hamstring didn't heal itself automatically. THAT is the work of God. What we mere humans can do is to treat it with bandages and medicines (or with love like his father).
You may mention about God and his miracles in some other video but not this one.

I don't have a father, and I don't believe in God, but I believe in myself in true love and compassion that every living beings deserve to have. It's not about the quality of life that you have, it's not about all about the difficulties that you are facing and ask for someone you called God to thank to and to worthship him. I'm greatful to be born as human being to have the mind to raise my Buddha nature with in me. If God really a loving being why dont God gives life equally to all beings?
