Hard to beat the original. Blues was adopted from RJ, Skip and Elmore James, Blind Lemon, etc... Still, this is the first family of the blues now! Thanks for posting.
amen brother to that couldnt agree more. I been to every wanee so far and the midnite jam's are breath taking good and getting better and better every year
Yeah, a woman who can wail like that! Don't doubt the ladies, now; Aretha, Janis, and Lydia Pense (Cold Blood) may have something to add to your female blues sirens experience, if lacking. I love when Susan cuts loose!
Robert Lee Johnson(Dodds) is looking from 'above', he smiles caus' he sees that it's alright. "Puro emoção, Susan e Derek eu te gusto e eu te amo muito suas musica!" Marvilhoso Supér, imortal execução.
ive seen bonnie raitt live and ive seen derek trucks with E.C and i can honestly say that derek blows her away, not being sexist or anythin, but he walks all over her. shes still a legend though. does anyone know the song right at the end of the video, it sounds good.
Bonnie is good but I think that Ry Cooder blows her away. I bought Eric Claptons tribute to Robert Johnson with Doyle Bramhall hes just as good as Bonnie Rait. She always sounds the same.
Check out Death Letter (basically the same song) by Son House and then the White Stripes. Lotta good music out there right now.

The Grateful Dead's Version of this Tune is the Best, Garcia rips this song. But these 2 are awesome together

my favorite rendition of this song! much better than that of clapton
LelandJohn 3 years ago
These two are amazing...but I really like EC's cover.

Whatever the rendition, the original (RJ) keeps giving me chills to the bones....

A great cover, their great
but claptons unplugged cover is second only to Robert Johnson's original
It's mainly because of the guitar work, claptons basicly studied RJ's work since he was 14
