For the record, my '09 and any other FJ i've known, when the rear locker is enabled, A-Trac is "off". You cannot run ATrac and rear diff lock simultaneously in any year that I know of.

I travel for a living and I'm always in rental cars. That's why I'll NEVER buy a rental when they become available. Two years ago I took a Nissan 350Z to the end if it's governed speedo on the Bonneville salt flats. Thank you Hertz rental! Route 80 heading out of SLC is fun also. Very flat and very straight.

Rear diff locked and 4L "On"? Which means, A-Trac "Off", Stability Control "Off", and wheel slip "Off". I think you would've pulled out pretty easily if you read the "Quick Driving Tips" manual in the glove box. P.S. Posting novice attempts makes you look like a novice chimp.

@edward500mp 4LO with rear locker doesn't turn the A-Trac off.

(maybe the 2007 model only?) all 2008 and up can run A-Trac and rear diff at the same time.

@evilet1111 Pg 171 in my 010 manual indicates that when the rear diff is locked the ABS, Brake Assist, VSC, and TRAC functions are disabled, but not A-TRAC. You're right - I'm wrong. However, in this situation I would not use A-TRAC anyway.
