  • I know all those horses by heart. I have been going to King's Island since 1989. My home away from home. <3

  • THe wurlITzer 157 was in paul eakins collection and it had a CD called "Come to the fiar". DId the scenary panels come from patrina williams because PTC wouldn't do that

  • @anglerfly I believe PTC built all their carousels completely in house. The Patrina Williams Carousel is still completely intact and still opperating at Six Flags Great Adventure. That carousel also predates PTC by atleast 15 years.

  • IM SO SORRY! the most important thing about this caorusel is the MUSIC this is wurliTzer 153 and carrousel music has 157! its a wurliTzer 157

  • @anglerfly Unfortunately, the WurliTzer 157 wasn't working and they wer playing recorded band organ music on the PA. I just usd a recording of a WurliTzer 153 I had on CD. It's a real sham that Cedar Fair, the parent company of KI won't front the money to gt the organ fixed.

  • @woodencoasterfan If they won't have the organs fixed/tuned, then they should at least put them up for sale. i'd buy both in a heartbeat lol! :P

  • @whoisthisguy724 I'd love to have one as well. Unfortunately, my neighbors might complain about the noise once I get it refurbished (eventually)

  • @woodencoasterfan I'd buy one just to p***-off my neighbors... Ha!!!

  • That music happens to be the haden carousel music

  • The organ is farting LOL

  • I rode this when I went there in August! It was so fun, especially since I had my friends with me!

  • The wurliTzer 157 is from a cD come to the fair. the queen of kings island!

  • That doesn't look like much fun to me. Call the poice they killed everyone on the carousel.

  • Sadly, I don't expect that CF is going to do much in the way of maintaining PTC #79 - or anything at all regarding the 157 band organ. It's been sitting fallow - without the instrument itself - for years, and from all I have heard, there are no plans to restore it. Considering how the organ sounded, this is a downright crime. Such a shame...

  • i want to go to Kings Island so bad. My grandpa Doug told me that the carousel there was big. He was right!

  • I always liked the kings island carousel! I wish they'd get their Wurlitzer 157 back to working though.

  • Yeah, it would have been nice to hear it. It looks like a beautiful organ though, I can only immagine how it sounds.

  • actually I have a CD of the organ. If you want I could send you some of the tunes! :)

  • That's OK, but thanks anyway :)

  • OK! I do have a video of the carousel and the organ(It's short) If you want to see it

  • Comment removed

  • Nice but I never liked carousels since I realised that they are horses impaled on metal poles.........

  • Excellent video! Great work!! Thanks!!

  • I barely ever recognize it! Nice video!

  • Thanks, they still need to do some wor on the carousel building as you can see in the photos and it would be nice if they can fix up the Wurlitzer Band Organ as it would add a unique sound to the area.
