It's extremely unsanitary to use is for a nose piercing number 1 and number 2 the gun creates blunt force trauma to the cartilage around the piercing .. Guns are not autoclave sterilized. This exposes you to Hepatitis, MRSA, HIV, etc. The gun also forces jewelry into skin. You will have more problems healing having it done this way.

If you are considering getting pierced with a gun, read this:
1. They cannot be properly sterilized. They're made of plastic and have a "pre sterilized" stud inserted which gets contaminated by the gun. With the guns there is a microscopic spray of blood which could potentially infect the person getting pierced with blood born diseases (I.e HIV, hepatitis)
2. They use blunt spring loaded force. The stud is quite dull compared to a needle and the dull stud is punched through the tissue at uncon
I know you know your not supposed to do it with a gun, but if you do, it uses the wrong type of backing and doesnt allow for swelling properly, and it sticks out in the nasal, as where a normal piercing for a nose lays flat against the nasal. Also good luck getting that piercing backing off to change it out.
@kathylol1 Nose piercings are prone to being a littel more painful than others because of the vast number of nerves in your nose, and your eyes will most likely water but each person is different. Either way they are forcing a needle through your skin, piercings sometimes hurt but if you want it that is the price you pay, three seconds of pain is worth a lifetime with a piercing you love =]
WTF? I pierced ears with a gun and we wear gloves, sanitize our area and the ears and have pre-sterilized earrings. And that's for only the ear, the least infection proned area.

@sMaggiePs wearing a glove is a health procedure, that way the germs on your hands can't accidentally get on or near the piercing, if they do you can get a nasty infection

If you are considering getting pierced with a gun, read this:
1. They cannot be properly sterilized. They're made of plastic and have a "pre sterilized" stud inserted which gets contaminated by the gun. With the guns there is a microscopic spray of blood which could potentially infect the person getting pierced with blood born diseases (I.e HIV, hepatitis)
2. They use blunt spring loaded force. The stud is quite dull compared to a needle and the dull stud is punched through the tissue at uncon

I know you know your not supposed to do it with a gun, but if you do, it uses the wrong type of backing and doesnt allow for swelling properly, and it sticks out in the nasal, as where a normal piercing for a nose lays flat against the nasal. Also good luck getting that piercing backing off to change it out.

@kathylol1 Nose piercings are prone to being a littel more painful than others because of the vast number of nerves in your nose, and your eyes will most likely water but each person is different. Either way they are forcing a needle through your skin, piercings sometimes hurt but if you want it that is the price you pay, three seconds of pain is worth a lifetime with a piercing you love =]

WTF? I pierced ears with a gun and we wear gloves, sanitize our area and the ears and have pre-sterilized earrings. And that's for only the ear, the least infection proned area.
