  • The blonde? She's June Miles Kingston. She did this remake of the Francoise Hardy song with Jimmy Somerville. She really does rather sound like Francoise Hardy, though. You can get a copy on Amazon.com

  • crickey! wooly ltl' jimbo minced his way thru that video good n proper!! lol =] heard it on the radio 2day always liked the tune, is the blonde piece french ???

  • I don't think she's French either. She sounds to me like she has some (British) accent.

  • I love his moves, and I think he has a cute french accent, even though I dont speak french lol!

  • et vous commencez cette entreprise d'élimination en vous attaquant à l'orthographe et à la grammaire?

  • Good old Jimmy - Top Tune

  • Nice to see June Miles Kingston doing something apart from playing drums on every other song from the 80s!

  • great!

  • Jimmy the dancer!

  • les annees 80 que du bonheur encore

  • Absolutely THUMPING sound quality on this vid. Turn it UP man!!!! So catchy; I've loved this one for years.

Brilliant and loved it for years too!

  • Love this song!

  • Oh God, i've watched this video 5 times today now. I'm addicted to watching Jimmy dancing! I wanna dance with him! :D

  • Thanks for the video. It's so uplifting and happy. It makes me nostalgic for the 80's and the glory days of europop.

  • great song. heard this song during a ski resort vacation in Turkey in 1989 or 1990 ! brings back all the good memories! where are they now??

  • Same here, I was in vacation in Buenos Aires and I had a great romance. Very good memories!!!!

  • :))) !!!

  • lol :) dont think so!!

  • This song makes me like i am about 5 again its great!!

  • Love this song, classic!!!

  • Tres bon!!!

  • EEEEEEEEW

  • So, what images came to mind?

  • Quite a nice "reprise" of Francoise Hardy and her 1969 hit song. Jimmy Sommerville & June Miles Kingston made a good duo for their 1989 hit song. The woman is not Francoise Hardy...it is June Miles kingston.

  • Which woman are you talking about?

  • I'm answer back the comments of Mark99McKie that he thinks the lady singer in that videoclip was Francoise Hardy...and I replied to him that it was June Miles Kingston who sing in that song...the original version is Francoise Hardy in 1969, but Francoise dosen't look like that in 1989, so he gor the right answer from me.

  • And the lyrics are from Serge Gainsbourg.

  • Yes, there from Serge Gainsbourg.

  • piękna piosenka gdzie ten jimmy się zgubił

  • haha dance dance dance :))

  • he was BLESSED !!!with such a great skin and such a voice and a boy toy looks !!! God save him !!!

  • Watch Francois Hardy sing it. She is so sexy and this was 40 years ago !!

  • mais go die quoi

  • OMG! I Love This! Cheers For Uploading =]

  • que c'est bon de recouter cette zic , j'adore ...

  • super super super...

  • well,i just saw the original song..and i think its just a matter of taste :) i like jimmys version much better, maybe couse its a different genre..anyway,both are great songs..only he has a higher voice perhaps :) :P

  • waou ça rappel des souvenirs ; )

  • Jimmy forever!

  • Fantastico Jimmy

  • I know Jimmy is great & everything, but he looks like an idiot here dancing with a granny. He ruined the whole song of Francoise Hardy.

  • I totaly agree - but who is that granny?

  • I was being scarstic. She's not really a granny(but I bet she dead looks like the one).I am not sure who she is. People say it's June Miles-Kingston. Have u listened to the same song by Francoise Hardy? It's a lot better than this one.

  • I agree!!!

  • Thank You, never know June Miles-Kingston but Francoise. This version is awful - but it had this magic touch from the original song.

  • it is June miles-kingston, and certainly not a granny lol. she has been in punk bands and is a drummer, and of course a close friend of Jimmy :)

  • buen video grande jimmy...

  • June Miles-Kingston was Everything but the girl drummer/backing vocalist.

  • Is June Miles Kingston who sings on this with Jimmy, related to Paul Miles Kingston who sang with Sarah Brightman on Pie Jesu.

  • it's in french...

    it's very good

c en francais c tro cool...

  • excelente

  • I love this song!

  • heurkkkkkkkkkk

  • I have to agree to fishydavies on this one hehe

  • well i love it ..it makes me wanna dance..and french is so sexy too

  • you need a life pal

  • the best!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • France : England // 10 : 0 // Click to Francose HArdy and compare (or, do not if you are English and you want to keep some self esteem)

  • c'est surement pas françoise hardy dans ce video!?

  • "Bob" was slang for shilling. In the old British currency, there used to be a ten shilling bank note. There was never a nine. So have a guess as to what the slang "...as a nine bob note" might mean.

  • obvious what? is he gay or straight?

  • Straight as a nine bob note.

  • what is nine bob note?

    he fucks women ...

  • No he doesn't. He's got more spunk in him than an Elephants bollocks.

  • is ge gay?

  • that is a funny question to ask.. isn't that obvious?

  • goodness blimy are remeber seein this wen r wer ickle on waka day any one remember it haha

  • oh please spare us lolololol

  • OMG this is so great,

  • Of course it's nothing on the original but I always liked the fag-haggy birds that used to be in Sommerville's bands. They seemed to ooze left wing radicalism with just a smile and their plumpness, housed within such crazy 80's fishwife fashion, is strangely reassuring.

  • Fag hags are a bore. I wasted too much time dating one. And no matter how handsome, rich, kind or good in bed I was, that I wasn't a poof always made me 2nd to the pillow chewers she ran with.

Excellent song and nothing personal against Jimmy.

  • Oh God... I clicked on this by mistake while trying for the great Francoise.

  • The accent of Jimmy owns it all :)

    So 80's ^^

  • YEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • otro gran tema si señot.chapeau jimmy.

  • So nice ! Merveilleux !

  • Son los mejores. Innolvidables.

  • irm.. there's a trombone in this song, giving me ideas...

  • Great song and great artist ... superb

  • Suuuuuupeeeeeeeeeerb!!!!!!!

  • The woman Jimmy is singing with is June Miles-Kingston, who played drums with the Mo-Dettes, Everything But The Girl, Fun Boy Three and the Communards. She also sang backup on several Microdisney albums.

  • How to say goodbye to you...

  • Great song, brings back good memories! Thanks for posting!

  • super Song und tolles Video!

  • great song + great version + great video = great fun! even if jimmy Sommerville moves a bit too much :-)

  • I like this song and this video. Thank you posting!
