Try to look from UESP website "Pilgrimage" quest and select "oblivion map", which will show you all wayshrines of Cyrodiil. You need to visit every gods wayshrine only once and there is no matter which one you'll visit.

You don't find him, unless you have Knights of the Nine add-on installed.

Now I haven´t got any idea what´s wrong.

I made a test with my game (PC).

I started a new game and after sewers I went straight to Anvil, without talking to other NPCs or doing any quests. The prophet was there and he was ready to give me the mission.

thanks. yea i have the knights of the nine and the shivering isles was on the one cd when i installed it. But i can not find the prophet. I have unstalled it nd re-installed it several times but nothing changes. When i go on the main menu howver it says loading extra content. Whilst that is the only thing i have Installed for it because i havent got xbox live

if you have pc you should check your data files when the oblivion screen pops up. it probably did'nt mark the x on kinghts of the nine.

Could some one please tell me what that first wepon was and where to get it. Aswell i have installed the shivering isles expancion pack on my xbox but i can not seem to find the prophet any where. is it because i havent done the main quest? (i havent even closed the Kavatch gate and im level 23 lol)

First weapon is Dawnfang/Duskfang. It is received at the conclusion of the Baiting the Trap quest (SI main quest).

Have you installed Knights of the nine add-on? The Prophet comes with it.

acoording to other sources, the prophet is actually the god Talos in human form. Why else would a human grant you the blessing of a god and suddenly dissapear off the face of the earth?

He also says something else if you are the listener of the dark brotherhood, you say something like no I serve sithis and he replys then the od will be entertained by your journey or something along those line, Ive kind of forgotten.
