I think the Sonata is great, it's just that they need to refine their electric power steering as well as transmissions.

They screwed up the interior with all the cheap plastics. Shouldn't have saved money on interior...thats the list thing you wanna do in a car like this. Look at the steering wheel for example. Its leather on flat parts, but on the parts with curves and buttons around there's no leather, its plastic. Why? Because its more expensive to make a full leather wheel. They cut the costs on too many places.

I just saw this car in our local mall and I must say, WOW!! The model I seen had an all black interior and I very much recomend that colour for the richness it gives this little diamond of a car! The price I have seen here in Canada, under $34,000! Thats for a fully loaded version :) Sadly these are used as rentals in Canada, pity really! Way to go Hyundai you've sold me!

Like I said in a previous video, these are what I call "throwaway cars". I know that sounds bad but what I mean is, you probably won't want anything to do with it once the warranty has expired. Mine has been reliable, but for a 4 door sedan there's not much room in width. The seats go back far enough for me to get comfortable (6'2 190lbs), but my leg is constantly leaning on the console and it actually makes my leg sore after driving for half our or more. But these are decent reliable cars.

the only noticeable problem with this car is the headlights..it goes too up to almost half the hood and gives an optical illusion of a very short front at some angles, just like the civic...imagine if the top triangular part of the headlights are cut away, this would be a much better looking car. why didnt they ask me first.

The only things that bother me about the new Sonata are at the rear of the car: gooseneck trunk hinges, instead of the nice struts of the last generation, and no LED taillamps like the rest of the world gets. That and a panorama sunroof would be nice on the turbo models.
