dude say you had your volume up REALLY loud to the point that it was causing your guitar to squeak and stuff when your not strumming the strings, will the Boss Ns-2 cut that out when im not strumming my strings but at like very large volume? cause i do metal and every time i stop the vibration of my string with a chug, it squeaks at high volume.
what are u talkin about? just coz one tube has a brighter heater doesnt meant its bad. that only tells you that one end (upper) heater part is sticking out more than it should be and wount cause no harm
i wasnt talking about that, he has a newer tube in with older ones. you can get a fucked up crossover distortion because over time a lot of tonal properties of tubes change and that one new one isnt at the same level
thuglyfe, I know what you mean on those tubes. I've seen a few Windsors where there are 1 or 2 tubes glowing brighter than the others including my own which had new tubes in it. I changed the screen grid resistors in mine to a higher value and used American made ones and it solved the problem.
one of the best sounds out of a peavey windsor I have heard! I own the amp myself and I'm having a bit of trouble when not using a preamp overdriving pedal in front. the peavey by itself sort of damps the volume when I hit a powerful chord.. ever had that problem yourself?
dude I hate this kind of music, but honestly that is not bad tone at all. that Marshall 1960 adds alot to your tone.

tone is really dry and the gain sounds lke its not even a quarter of the way up...
try getting a booster pedal or something, sounds like really bad solid state.

I don't really like the way that sounds, too glassy or something
domdabombabc 2 years ago

robertstothart27 3 years ago
so im guessing that hot tube is the Class A,
business? probally in class A triode t just runns one tube? its a guess?
Barefootterry 3 years ago
one of those tubes is running hotter than the others? is that right? or is it just a splash from the flash on the camera.
have a look and see if its running like that If so it needs service if not -
hey rock on, it sounds cool.

Barefootterry 3 years ago
the one that is a little hotter is a newer tube cuz the original one blew
but i beleave the original one ran a little hotter to :S
robertstothart27 3 years ago
thats not good. u gotta change all at once and not do any un balance. dont believe the "auto bias" crap that they seem to advertise
budubum 3 years ago
thats not a good idea at all u need to change them all and get matched tubes and rebias your amp

youtube messed up the sound by raising it
dont ask me how
but the volume doesnt jump like that on the origonal file
robertstothart27 3 years ago
it's clipping.
it shelters the camera's and other's speaker from overdrive
