Thanks for posting this version. I had it on old VHS tape but quality was bad. This is an interesting variation on the piano playing Bruce did that I have never heard replicated. Numerous versions by Don Henley and also Bruce Hornsby separately but none this good in my opinion.
Don had this hair style for how long? 1985 to 1991 perhaps? He should have kept his hair as long as he could (turned gray I imagine?) haha In the 70s he had the white man's afro of course
@g0ldbuG I don't think all people keep their hair the same basically, but I always felt it strange he almost got a 60s hair style after the 70s afro. Few white folks rocked the Afro, but Henley could! hahaha
Yes, one of the best songs regarding a universal central theme in our live and the environment we live in. Very cool to see Bruce Hornsby playing the piano. The two songwriters involved in the performance.
what a great song. I started to like this song more after i had an american lit class in a college. In the class, the professor connected this song's message to the message that Thoreau sought to present in Walden, and said that it's the song about the despair of a destruction of innocent nature. I was very shocked for this and ever since i really love this song more.
@wacyeah Well, Don would be pretty happy to hear it, he's the guy working the magic in terms of his schooling for the lyrical side of things and it shows in the Eagles' body of work. I was thinking that Glenn Frey would have liked to shake hands with Bob Seger too! haha Bob is touring the Midwest and is planing a stop in my neck of the woods, only months away, the radio here is hyping it
