Wha? I'm offering you serious advice. Sometimes Leopard can get confused if you set something to open in a certain space or if it is automatically set to do so (which spreadsheets might be) but it might coincide with some other setting. check them out and see what happens.
youtube won't let me include a link in the comment, but please go to danielbeck dot net and click the "why I hate spaces" post to see the context here... this isn't looking for help with what's obviously a bug, it's just part of a longer discussion about usability in Leopard in general
Is that the terminal? It's yellow. Beautiful yellow.

They (sort of) fixed this in 10.5.2!
This will stop the automatic Space-switching:
defaults write com.apple.Dock workspaces-auto-swoosh -bool NO
killall Dock

check the settings for what opens in each space.

Are you seriously going to claim that *any* combination of settings should lead to this behavior?

"Leopard can get confused" was pretty much my whole point: no settings should cause it to bounce back and forth between two spaces like this.
(FWIW, this was default behavior, no applications locked to any space.)

Hmm. Does it still happen now? Mine works fine.
