and im getting use too them they didn't hurt that much u just feel like your teeth are moving... i eat everything iv tryed to chew a gum but it suck it stick into the barkets so don't try it xD it feels akward but i kinda love my braces xD

I've had my braces on for about a day, and no they don't hurt unless your orthodontist puts cement blobs on your molars! (thats what they did to me, it sucks!) but they ache a bit, because it moves. But you get used to it.

No pain, no gain.

i have my braces on and i eat whatever i want ...no cutting into pieces ...i eat chocolate and high-sugar food ..but i don't chew gum at all ...i'm afraid this will affect my teeth later on ..but i think i will have my teeth whitened after having braces off

they will but i've had braces for a while and they are annoying!!! u can only eat like applesauce, ice cream, soup and pudding for the first three days! it was horrible but they don't hurt anymore

It depends on the person. Mine didnt hurt after about 3 days, but i kept on taking ibuprofen, so thats why i didnt feel pain. As for eating, i couldnt eat solid foods for 1 1/2 months. But it depends on the person. My teeth were just sensitive.
