I like the song, but at the same time I don't. I live in NE Iowa, and traveling I-80 doesn't show you the whole state. Iowa maybe known for corn, but like the sign when you enter the state says "Iowa, fields of opportunities"

Iowa also has one an really good public education. Thats why everyone takes the ITBS. Ive saw a lot of other schools and Iowa's are by far the best! And Shawn Johnson is from here!

lol...i'm from Cedar Rapids (just half an hour north of Iowa City for any non-iowans) and i find this song hillarious. yeah, we have great public education compared to other states (though i'm sure most other countries would beat us) and Iowa has some good points, but i've traveled I-80 and he's actually right about that...only thing he missed was the Adult Superstore in the middle of a corn field

gay! I live in Iowa & this is just making fun of the rural areas of Iowa. There are a lot of neat things around Des Moines. Yeah there is a lot of Corn, but it only looks like that in the summer. Also I barley see any pigs unless I actually go into a barn. Iowa has a a lot higher income than the people in the south like Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Lousiana. Iowans are not hillbillies they are farmers. Hillibilles are the uneducated ignorant people in the south, not in the mid-west.

Ok so just because we also farm means we are uneducated and ignorant here in the south? Here in Alabama, there are some of the highest rated high-schools in the country, and it happens that I go to the #1 school.

I'm not saying everyone in the south, but there is reason those are the poorest states in the country. Once again it's not everyone though. When I was last in Alabama I saw a lot of old beat up trailers on the side of the road.

i love it! i love the pig part. in my hometown of waterloo it pretty much smells like pigs all the time. but we aren't hicks or hillbillies as most people think, and btw we hunt deer because they are overpopulating our state and cause constant crashes and highways because they are stupid. just thought you should know.

Iowan's have one of the best education systems in the nation, we designed the test that grades everyone else in most the midwest that is equal to our level. We may seem like red neck corn farmers, but atleast were smart.
