The guys that make tobias is Gibson. Michael Tobias sold it to them. Tobias makes mtd basses now. These are good basses but not for their price, plenty of great basses for half the cost.

@greyfoxzero can you tell me which ones, cause i tried the mtd and that humbucker sounds amazing for 590$. the setup is also the best i've seen (even on more expensive basses) a bass half the price would be 300 bucks but i can't of anything that even comes close to this one...(the ibanez and yamaha i tried, suck!)

I have the original kingston... man the new ones are just so much nicer... i love my MTD, but i'd really love to get my hands on this new model. just insanely nice.
