  • @MrSockoOck Well 10 miles takes me roughly 100 to 110 minutes.

    And don't worry, you will improve if you give it your all. Aim for 5, I'm aiming for 15.

    Just be careful eh, drivers have no clue about us runners half of the time so when you cross the road make sure that you walk instead of running it. Look around you, be safe, you can lose your ability to walk if you aren't fully aware.

    Other than that, make sure to stretch well after your muscle is warm, keep your posture and breathe. G'luck!

  • @GreatBlueKnight I've read some articles where they said that it's worse if u stretch than if you just do some warm-up walking/running; apart from that I'm also pushing for 10 atm, 10 km not miles, haha. Wanting to participate in my first half-marathon in april; I'm so psyched. Keep going mate and good luck to you too

  • @3656761 Dude, or woman, I could only run 800 meters, then 1 km now I can run 1 mile most of the time, I did however run 2 miles once. Can't do it again though mainly because my training is so brutal. These videos hopefully will help

  • my biggest problem with running is maintenance or consistency with running. What works well for a college student to keep running?

  • Run with a buddy. You'll be surprised to see how much harder you work when someone's watching.

    Easy, you run when you have time. How do you think college students do it that are in Cross Country? I ran for College. You have to know your schedule, if you have class at 8:00am. Get up an hour earlier and go run.

  • keep your head down. bend over, but keep your back straight while bending. use big strides and powerful arm movements. be sure to breathe. and when you get to the top, dont slow down! use the momentum youve built to propel yourself.

  • I don't have friends who run. lol I'm all on my own when it comes to motivation. I get jealous when I see people who have running partners, but at the same time depending on other people's schedule could be a turn off.

  • good advice...running with a partner is a very good motivator...but if you have to run alone, what i like to do is put on a good CD and try to run all the way through the CD. It keeps you focused and passes time while your running.
