  • You dont worry about having the red dot on a dust cover mount? I wouldnt think it would hold sight? All the movement from the action.

  • @clockwork421 There's 2 set screws at the rear, right over the top of the cover. When those are tight, there is ZERO movement. I thought the same, but it's solid. If it did move, I'd be forever re-adjusting the EOTech on every magazine fired!

  • I like that.....dead nuts accurate. lolol

  • @rogermcgee1 Lol. I can't remember where I first heard that, but it stuck!

  • MDE IN ROMANIA

  • Oh ok cool thanxs man, I've been wanting to buy one but was worried that it would be the same length as a stock buttstock. Thanxs man!!

  • I'm looking into buying a collapsible stock for my ak. Mine is Romanian ak 47 with a stamped receiver but, been wondering if is it the same length when collasped compared to regular stock it came with?? Do you know?

  • @LayzieViktr Collaspable, not folding right? When my Tapco is in the shortest foward position, it ends up being 3/4" shorter than my original Romanian wood stock. That's all! I never even realized that, until you asked. I guess that just goes to show, if size / length is the issue, then a floding type would be better. Interesting.

  • @jonesy97 What's up man? I was wondering could you send me a list of the things you bought to modify your ak 47 I have the same Roman one and what to change it up and make it look more modern. I would really like the help and could I buy them from a magazine?

  • @civicmaneg6 I'll reply to your home page. Don't get to use a lot of dialog here.

  • @jonesy97 True!!

  • Can anyone help me find info on Romarm SA Cuiger AK47? I got one in a trade but I'm kind of clueless on it. Is it a Century International Arms Gun? Is it single stack/double stack? How do I tell? Anyway to tell how old it is?

  • Also is Romarm a quality brand? The sight is straight and there's very little mag wobble. Any info on these would be great! Thanks guys

  • @SilverMetallic1 I think Romarms is damn good quality for the cost. There's better manufacturers out there, sure, but they're so easy to work on and maintain. Factory new models are worth the cost. Im considering buying a new short barrel/ folding stock model. I can't speak for Century. Never shot one.

  • @jonesy97 I put 20 rounds through it tonight and I was pleased with it! Do you know how I can tell if it's a single or double stack?

  • @SilverMetallic1 Well does it accept single stack mags or double stack mags? If youre using standard ak mags its double stack.

  • @SilverMetallic1 All my mags are double stack. To my knowledge, they don't make a single stack mag for 7.62 for AK's, AKM's, WASR's, etc. They're all double stack. I've got 5, 20, 30, and the monster banana 40 round mags, and they're all double. With the double, the rounds are diagonal of each other, zig zagging down thru the mag. Single is in a straight line. Glad you like the Romarm. I love mine.

  • @jonesy97 Ok it must be double stack then, cool! Thank you, for your help. Can't wait to take it to the range and really test it out!

  • Does that scope mount maintain a zero with an Eotech? I have an underfolder and that type of mount is basically my only option.

  • @Quinton101 During firing, yes. Removal/ replacement of the spring cover always seems to require me to make fine adjustments.

  • Anyways nice build.

  • Is your weapon still in compliance with 922r? By the way the tapco stock is a whole lot better if you cut off that pointless square and mount into the stock tube. You will have to cut a little bit into the stock it make it a really close fit into the stock.

  • @3mealsaday Don't have any idea what rule/ regulation 922R is. That isn't anything I had to comply with in GA. As far as the stock goes, I'll have to look closer, to see if what you're talking about is even possible. Don't know yet.

  • @jonesy97 922r is a law that more specifically is focused on imported AK47 and FN FAL rifles. It does also divert down to Saiga shotguns and other things as well. But it states that you cannot have any more than 10 imported parts on a rifle. For example. On my AK build I have the receiver, stock, pistol grip, and rail system, are considered to be imported parts. If you have a triggers, hammer, mag floor plate, barrels, piston. All those are counted as one of the those parts. I was just wondering

  • @jonesy97 I wasn't too specific on this but its only for imported receivers that you build yourself. If you have a Century wsar, then does not apply. But I just saw where you said its was Romanian, and I was just curious. Not to go and hound on you, because I hate when people do that to me. If your interested I can show you what im talking about with that stock. It makes it closer if you like your stocks closer.

  • @jonesy97 what he by 922r compliant is does your rifle have less than 10 foreign made parts on it. google 922r

  • Nice ak looks similar to mine lol

  • i have a romanian wasr 10. i just put my firefield quad rail on along with my front foregrip. i have my tapco t6 stamped reciever coming in as well as a top rail dust cover. on top or the quad rail i have my barska red dot sight. which on the ak (as you already know its hard to find a good sight to withstand the kick) works amazing! i hope to have a video up soon of it. ill let you know so you can check it out:) oh! and where did you get your pistol grip??

  • @CodyCollinsSkater1 The grip is made by C.A.A. which strangely enough, is made in Israel. I bought it at a gun show in GA.

  • Nice work. Its actually an AKM (only differences are stamped receiver rather then milled, spoon type muzzle screw on attachment which you replaced and iron sights up to 1000 meters which is way too optimistic lol). Hows the kick on that thing? 7.62x39 is a powerful round and recoil from AKs was known to really injure shoulders of shooters who didn't properly hold it while shooting.

  • The recoil's not too bad, but a rubber pad on the back of the Tapco srock would be nice! Lol. No injuries, but I have always had a fascination with all AK's and AKM's. I do believe it is superior to M4's, M16's, or AR's. A lot more combat reliable. I truly love it. Thanks for your input!

  • what brand of mags do you use.i have yet to find a reliable mag.not a fan of the plastic/poly mags.thanx.nice piece

  • The stamp metal mags that I have came w/ the weapon, and don't have an nomenclature what so ever. The plastic ones that I have are CAA, but the prob w/ them, is that they don't hold the breach open after the last round is spent. The metal ones do, and like you, I prefer them.

  • Its like a m16 ak47 hybrid

  • The Tapco stock, and the flash supressor on the barrel end makes it look like that. Lotta fun to shoot.
