Yung kay sarah and Jonalyn, this is just my comment. If Jonalyn can belt, Sarah has proven more than enough to be known by almost everybody. Jonalyn does well in belting. Yun lang sya. While Sarah can belt, though not as powerful as Jonalyn's, but at least she still can.Plus her record for making box office hit movie(s) and her talent in dancing.. kumbaga, total package si Sarah. Si Jonalyn, she's a singer..

That's her weakness that every Jonalyn's fan have to live with, as what the other one said. Well, Jonalyn should not be compared to jaya too. Even if Jaya uses mixed voice, very clear ang belting nya, pati sa lyrics. walang ngongo sound.. Pero syampre, masters na sina Jaya and Regine eh. In due time, Jonalyn will be able to learn what she needs to improve. But as of now, Jonalyn's videos speak as the evidences of some comments here.
just to comment.. yung pagiging nasal ni jonalyn, meron din sa mga parts ng high notes nya.. The comparison video of jonalyn and regine's high notes only showed the big difference. ang belt ni regine, malinaw pakinggan ang lyrics plus the notes. Yung kay jonalyn, kung pakikinggang mabuti, andun ang quality na parang bumabanda ang boses sa ilong.. Voice range wise, magaling nga rin si Jonalyn. But the quality, I guess it has to be improved. That's the fact.

If you dont want to start an argument on this page then stop comparing Jaya to anybody saying that they are nasal or whatsoever. Just simply leave a comment telling how good she is and dont drop any names of some artists for comparison. Each of them has their own strengths/weaknesses and you have to live with it.

I beg to disagree but Jonalyn's tone has dynamics. Her upper range has QUALITY compared to others singers who only sounds MATINIS in belting. Notice that soulful effect on her voice even if she's already hitting those G5, A5 or even B5?? that's QUALITY!!! Now, try comparing it to other singers, i bet their voice would only sound MANIPIS. lol
mixing is a skill.,,, so ang pagtili is not mixed... FYI... It has to be learned... Try to listen sa mga tumitiling kapit bahay,,,,, are they that great na tumitili in mixed?? hahahahaha:D nkakatawa... Sila ang mayaman sa vibrato... Except Regine... maxadong magaling si regine sa pagcontrol ng vibrato.. Yung through the fire ni jaya, nkakatawa nman kung itinili pa yun... Listen carefully:D ang parang itinili dito at nagcomment pa nga yung isa na parang pusang naapakan daw, yung belt ni jonalyn.
Let us just stand in our own interpretation.. To end up this discussion which has been exponentially multiplying, let us just say that GMA singers are really good. But reality bites, nobody's perfect.
Kung walang parts sa mga performance ni Jonalyn na ngongo, then I would say na nagkakamali lang ako ng pakinig,, But evidently, may mga performance sya na ganun.. Anyway, I am not insisting my interpretation to be agreed by anybody else. The same way that you can't make everybody goes in the same flow with yours.
Sa pakikinig ko sa video ni jonalyn, may mga belts na nagngongongo sya.. the fact that we have to admit since it has been a part of her voice to get "ngongo" at some point in time. It takes extra auditory sensitivty to notice it. If I were to compare regine's belts with Jonalyn,, Im sorry, but quality wise, perhaps you know what I would say..
That is my interpretation of Jonalyn's belting power here. I am not against Jonalyn, just to clean the what seems to be getting dusty air in here.. Kung yung kay jaya ang itinili, then everybody does the "tili in reaching high notes". Anyway, everybody adds pressure to their voice in gliding to reach high notes..

And one more thing, Jaya has belted more A5 and Bb5 during then in her prime years,,,, unfortunately, those were not recorded... Had it been that those were recorded, then youtube would have a fair share of jaya's powerfully belted high notes.
But to sum up, I also admire jonalyn's vocal range.. It's just that when she glides to reaching high notes, nagiging nasal at sounded ngongo. The tendency of uncontrolled mixing since it uses the headvoice is to sound a bit nasal. Maybe Jonalyn has to practice more in mixing.. But in range, well Jonalyn can really give goosebumps..
@jamiel0325 I beg to disagree, nawawala yung pagkanasal ng notes ni Jonalyn sa higher notes, yeah may mga nasal parts dito pero hindi sya high notes. Pag bumababa yung note, mas nagreresonate sya sa nose that's why a bit nasal ang tunog, pero sa high notes nya, sorry pero hindi sya nasal :)
With Jonalyn, iba na ang quality when she glides to mixed A5 and Bb5. the tonal quality changes to somewhat screaming. In here, I could say she sounded like she's yelling it out..
@jamiel0325 it is not screaming or even yelling. Kasi mas mataas yung amount ng chest, eh. Pakinggan mo Bb5 ni Regine sa And I'm telling you, ang layo ng mic, same as Jonalyn's Bb5 here, mejo may distance kasi more on chest, but not YELLING.
the latter part of jaya's high energy has reached a Bb5. it's actually an A5 and Bb5.When it comes to belting, I find jaya's belts more powerful than jonalyn's.I agree to rpasabache that in mixing, jaya's voice is more on the chest hold bcoz her headvoice isn't that powerfuland the range, not so wide,To come up with a mixed voice, either of the two voices should be more powerful and with jaya, it's the chest voice.
when it comes to mixing, jaya's mixed voice is i believe m0re on chest hold.. jaya has no wide range in head voice or falsetto.. high energy hit a bb5 in the latter part of the s0ng... ung bb5 ni jonalyn d2, napaka.airy.. parang itinili...
@rpasabache hmmm. just because your range in head register is not wide doesn't mean you cannot add higher amount of head on your high notes. Isa pa, paano naging tinili tas airy? how is it possible na airy tas tinili lang? Jonalyn's Bb5 here was well resonated, she did even glide to A5 and G5 with ease.

with jaya's voice quality where it's as if it is endless, she can still hit a Bb5 with better quality than jonalyn's.. Her voice when glides higher sounds really powerful.. Party Pilipinas should let Jaya belt even more.. Her fans are just starting to collect her amazing vocal range.. and in my search for high notes, only Regine and Jaya have given enough justice to A5 and Bb5 notes.
Jonalyn's high notes are way more chesty. Jaya's are lesser in chest quality, lesser in impact/power. Btw, A5 lang po yung sa high energy ni Jaya. Dalawang A5 na nasustain ni Jonalyn, isa sa come in out of the rain, isa sa Rumor Has It.
i somehow disagree that only jonalyn and regine can belt high notes. Bb5 is jaya's remarkably known nailed note.. in fact, not just nailed for that matter, but sustained and amazingly prolonged.. try to watch her rendition of high energy and kahit kailan where she effortlessly belted Bb5.. and the quality of the voice, really incomparable... Even then, she has belted astounding notes which, unfortunately, were not recorded. She could have nailed a B5 then, who knows..
aside from regine, rachelle ann go lang talaga ang consolation sa panonood ng PP..the rest are flop divas na hehehe sorry i'm just giving a very critic review and opinion..sobrang naapreciate ko ang talent ni regine na standard na sa pagkanta ---all these years kahit pa nung sop time..so far si rachelle and regine lang talaga ang may "proud" factor

Shin, Jaya and Japs nagbgay ng own version sa kanta nla. own style.. ung kay Jonalyn, same pa rn sa original pero HIGHEST version nmn na wala makakagawa kundi sya lang at si Regine.. fave prod ko ang VOX. yn lng pnapanood ko sa PP..
it doesn't matter kung sino mauuna, kung sino susunod at pang-finale.. kung panonoodin nyo po 'yung iba't ibang performance ng VOX before, nare-reshuffle po silang lahat hindi laging ganun ang arrangement.. kaya ganun 'yung maganda sa PP, everyone deserves to shine at mag-standout.. :) :)

That's her weakness that every Jonalyn's fan have to live with, as what the other one said. Well, Jonalyn should not be compared to jaya too. Even if Jaya uses mixed voice, very clear ang belting nya, pati sa lyrics. walang ngongo sound.. Pero syampre, masters na sina Jaya and Regine eh. In due time, Jonalyn will be able to learn what she needs to improve. But as of now, Jonalyn's videos speak as the evidences of some comments here.

just to comment.. yung pagiging nasal ni jonalyn, meron din sa mga parts ng high notes nya.. The comparison video of jonalyn and regine's high notes only showed the big difference. ang belt ni regine, malinaw pakinggan ang lyrics plus the notes. Yung kay jonalyn, kung pakikinggang mabuti, andun ang quality na parang bumabanda ang boses sa ilong.. Voice range wise, magaling nga rin si Jonalyn. But the quality, I guess it has to be improved. That's the fact.

Sa pakikinig ko sa video ni jonalyn, may mga belts na nagngongongo sya.. the fact that we have to admit since it has been a part of her voice to get "ngongo" at some point in time. And one more thing, Jaya has belted more A5 and Bb5 during then in her prime years,,,, unfortunately, those were not recorded... Had it been that those were recorded, then youtube would have a fair share of jaya's powerfully belted high notes.

But to sum up, I also admire jonalyn's vocal range.. It's just that when she glides to reaching high notes, nagiging nasal at sounded ngongo. The tendency of uncontrolled mixing since it uses the headvoice is to sound a bit nasal. Maybe Jonalyn has to practice more in mixing.. But in range, well Jonalyn can really give goosebumps..

the latter part of jaya's high energy has reached a Bb5. it's actually an A5 and Bb5.When it comes to belting, I find jaya's belts more powerful than jonalyn's.I agree to rpasabache that in mixing, jaya's voice is more on the chest hold bcoz her headvoice isn't that powerfuland the range, not so wide,To come up with a mixed voice, either of the two voices should be more powerful and with jaya, it's the chest voice.

with jaya's voice quality where it's as if it is endless, she can still hit a Bb5 with better quality than jonalyn's.. Her voice when glides higher sounds really powerful.. Party Pilipinas should let Jaya belt even more.. Her fans are just starting to collect her amazing vocal range.. and in my search for high notes, only Regine and Jaya have given enough justice to A5 and Bb5 notes.

Jonalyn's high notes are way more chesty. Jaya's are lesser in chest quality, lesser in impact/power. Btw, A5 lang po yung sa high energy ni Jaya. Dalawang A5 na nasustain ni Jonalyn, isa sa come in out of the rain, isa sa Rumor Has It.

i somehow disagree that only jonalyn and regine can belt high notes. Bb5 is jaya's remarkably known nailed note.. in fact, not just nailed for that matter, but sustained and amazingly prolonged.. try to watch her rendition of high energy and kahit kailan where she effortlessly belted Bb5.. and the quality of the voice, really incomparable... Even then, she has belted astounding notes which, unfortunately, were not recorded. She could have nailed a B5 then, who knows..

aside from regine, rachelle ann go lang talaga ang consolation sa panonood ng PP..the rest are flop divas na hehehe sorry i'm just giving a very critic review and opinion..sobrang naapreciate ko ang talent ni regine na standard na sa pagkanta ---all these years kahit pa nung sop time..so far si rachelle and regine lang talaga ang may "proud" factor

Shin, Jaya and Japs nagbgay ng own version sa kanta nla. own style.. ung kay Jonalyn, same pa rn sa original pero HIGHEST version nmn na wala makakagawa kundi sya lang at si Regine.. fave prod ko ang VOX. yn lng pnapanood ko sa PP..

it doesn't matter kung sino mauuna, kung sino susunod at pang-finale.. kung panonoodin nyo po 'yung iba't ibang performance ng VOX before, nare-reshuffle po silang lahat hindi laging ganun ang arrangement.. kaya ganun 'yung maganda sa PP, everyone deserves to shine at mag-standout.. :) :)

1st julie ann - hindi ko ine-expect na ganun yung magiging banat niya sa kanta, saka ang daming kulot! ang hirap nun ah! para narin xang si kyla.
2nd Jonalyn - hindi ko rin ine-expect na itataas niya yung part nayun! although sanay nko n marining yung note nayun sa kniya dahil ginawa n niya yun s come in and out of the rain.
3rd jaya - expected ko n talaga n marami xang twist n gagawin dahil dun nmn natin xa nakilala diba? pero superb talaga yung last note nia.

I know who you were pertaining to. And to say that she's always doing the same thing in prod is a lie because she show's different style in every prod!
