The whole aids/hiv situations is awful.. I know there is people out there that contract hiv/aids and do the right thing. But i'm sure for every person who treats their disease in a respectful,honest,and truthful way there is one person who is careless,reckless, and selfish. For this reason there needs to be a much better way of protecting those are not affected with this disease. Sure it's not fair to put a persons disease on blast to others. But currently the system in place isn't working.

After i was born thats when my mom found out she had it but it was to late because she already had AIDS and she died 1987...I know its hard to live with it and to be born with it. Just stay strong and It was not your fault that your son has it.I know its hard for them because there young but at least they still have there mom.
What people need to realize is that, if you or anyone else has hiv/aids. It really doesn't mean it comes from sex, just because sex is the number 1 cause of it, that doesnt mean that's how it could transfer from body to body. You could also get it through needles, infected wounds, and it is not the end of the world. I know someone personally was raped when they was 13, and had caught a std. That's not as bad as HIV but it could lead to it, and it was cured, that's the purpose of buying medicine.
this is such an achievement for her to still be her strong for 20 years after being infected! thats a survivor, it just makes you become so aware of life in general, and wwhen people think they are having a bad day because of the most pettiest things think about what familys like that go through.

I have to ask if this were a white family would they so blindly be accepting the HIV+ diagnosis? But it became abnormally common in esp. untreated HIV, and the O.I. is still on the list. When you have seen several friends suffer this way, you understand. What category it belongs in is less important than treating the outbreak. So taking Valtrex as prophylaxis can be wise for certain people weakened people with HIV.
Shingles is a disease of an under active immune system and the immune system can be weakened from drug use, stress, poor diet, weakened immune systems from elderly and many other things---NONE of these things are HIV! If one is going to list shingles as a HIV related illness they might as well list the common cold because people with weakened immune systems catch colds.

They told us that ECT cured depression and forced no end of people to have it, including children - a 14 month old baby, to be precise.
Swine flu is another. The "experts" have tried to put terror into the people - it makes you wonder what for.

So "annie46664" are you saying that they are not in fact infected with this disease? You must know that HIV/AIDS is real & that it's something that our government with Dr. Robert Gallo helped create. You cannot tell me or someone else that is living with someone who has HIV that by looking at these people & hearing the stories that they are not infected? elie721 ~ I'm pretty confident that after many, many, many years of research & liaising with scientists in the know, that I'm not one of those being hoodwinked. I spent many years on the other side of the fence as well, so on discovering the truth, I was totally blown away & virtually 'shut down' on anything I heard or read on the matter ~ then, thanks to a kind & calm attorney, I managed to get accurate info & the rest is history ~ a tragic, long lasting one no doubt. :(

Are u for real....?? That's the dummest thing I've ever heard, u mean all this research on HIV is completely bogus?? I'm disappointed that a modern human being still is not fully into what the HIV-positive diagnose means...! If antibodies are found in a persons bloodtest, there will always be issued a second test for determining how much antigens that binds with the anitibodies. It's these two tests combined that provides the diagnosis HIV-positive.

Of course, u'r right, and all other science is wrong. So all the people now dying of AIDS, they're dying because of ....what exactly? Please, enlighten me. My ignorance is now complete.....obviously. I lack the knowledge of english to best describe this: I have KNOWN people dying of AIDS, I have seen all their struggle, and I've read anything I've come across thru the years to claim my GENERAL knowledge of HIV/AIDS.
