I just got a shipment of trapdoor snails for my pond. I decided to put 3 in my indoor aquarium. 4 days later I have 14 babies. That is crazy! I wonder if there will be more soon. I'd also like to get a video of these things being born!
@withramya His fins were like that from the time I bought him. I guess he might have had some damage before I met him. Not long after this video he was moved to a 10 gallon tank. He thinks he is the man now. It's great seeing how happy he is with all of the extra room.
what if my tank dosnt have any visable green algea? can i still have a snail in my bettas tank. nd that must have been kinda awkward for the snailss havin the betta watching that! haha :)
Trapdoors live entirely underwater and don't breathe air. I think they are so cute and they do a great job cleaning the tank. When they breathe in water they filter it naturally so it helps to get rid of any algae in the water.
My trapdoors did that and when they pulled apart, there was something that looked liked jelly on the gravel. My cichlid ate it and almost died. BTW, do these snails go to the surface for air like the apple snail? or they stay at the bottom??

Does your betta have fin rot or some physical damage to the tail fin? It looks like hes missing a piece. Nice video.

@chuzziii Ok, I was just wondering because right now I am dealing with a mild finrot myself

@withramya It is called a crown tail beta, or a fancy beta. It is just the breed.

@PJFIZZY I don't have algae either. I just throw in some extra food and an occasional algae tablet.

I think your gorgeous betta was curious as to what you were doing. He wanted some camera time too. He didn't seem impressed by the snail orgy.
