  • I'm a huge Maiden fan and I thank them for turning me on to this great band. If it wasn't for Maiden I never would have known this band existed. Comparing them is futile, just be glad Steve Harris opened the door to some great music for us!

  • BEST NEKTAR ALBUM EVER!!!!!!

  • no creativity????? listen to "the thin line between love and hate" by them then try to tell me that!!!

  • I can honestly say that I first heard NEKTAR because I heard Iron Maiden do this song back in the 80s..But Instead of being closed minded I went out and found a bunch of NEKTAR Lps..and now I have quite a few...

People should not compare the 2 bands..Iron Maiden did the song as a TRIBUTE because they loved the band..and you should too

  • A cover is a tribute by Band B as a form of recognition and respect for Band A... right?

The original remains original, and the cover remains the version that made me know about Band A in every case... so this one is Nektar and it's pretty good!

  • Iron Maiden? what a fuck is Iron Maiden!!!!

  • @lupuslupus1 If you don´t know it, you are pretty hopeless!... Or maybe a marcian... LOL

  • No need to compare both nektar + maiden are great bands just different styles of music.

  • You can see easily how this band influenced in the sound of Iron Maiden.

  • this is my favourite Maiden cover..superb

  • I found out about these guys from the cutout bin in the record stores in Tacoma and Seattle. They where always great weed smoking music.I miss those times. What has the horror of drug testing done to this country?

  • I have still sympathy for this quite simple psychedelic band. We felt they were a true part of the same love and awareness for music and experience in our time - but also saw they were not as highly developed and originally gifted as others. But because music busines in those days was incredibly open to all kind of waves and influences, they also were part of this trip and journey - one with our turntables and open minds. Cover-art, the light-show, and most of all: the drugs gave a helping hand.

  • Good stuff. Back then, I so wanted this band to succeed. Sadly overshadowed by Yes, and Emerson, Lake, & Palmer.

  • the 2nd nektar album I ever bought, and it was the 2nd BEST - LOVE THEM AII 1

  • wasn't there another band with the same name???

  • nektar is an influence to all heavy metal bands, and its contribution to the musical arts are infinite, all of you remember this band as one of the last to play music for the music and not for the sales!!! all of this.... for a chance to be freeeeeeeee!!!!

  • Not sure how you can compare Nektar and Iron Maiden. Two different styles of music. Nektar is hidden gem in the prog rock world and Maiden is second rate metal. :D

  • @shadow0ferret What do you mean with second rate! They are the best fucking heavy metal band ever! They created the NWOBHM!

  • @shadow0ferret You're the only one that said something smart. You can't compare 70s prog rock with Iron Maiden, it doesn't make sense.

  • @shadow0ferret maiden a 2nd rate metal band???????? your a 1rst rate asshole!!!!!!

  • @sutfinmikes Maiden is a first rate band I agree and so is King Diamond but why are we talking metal in a Nektar video.Progressive rock is better than metal even though I love metal prog is the shit.Who is better than Yae,Pink Floyd,Early Genesis,ELP,King Crimson,Dream Theater,Symphony X and many others. That is why you probily got a negative comment about Maiden on a prog bands video. Not all prog fans like metal.

  • @shadow0ferret 2nd rate metal ha ha ha youre a funny guy.what a turd like opinion.nektar is awesome.steve harris shits on those who speaketh against maiden.

  • @shadow0ferret second rate?and who is first rate?

  • @shadow0ferret when you second rate, do you mean first rate??

  • So artistic.

  • Wow maiden made this song good :D

  • @MiketotheIke It was good to begin with :)

  • ……. Awesome Krautrock psychedelia! Thank you, robimiglio, for uploading this gem. You truly have impeccable taste! ~ (•8-D

  • @Clematisian well, thank YOU for listening! :)

  • I bought this album way back. It was a limited release here in the U.S. I think I paid like 7.00 dollars for it. They were phasing out LPs for the more compact cassette. Imagine that... ;o )

  • Lolmaidenscoverissomuchbetter.lol.

  • @crashin1 What the actual fuck? You have no brain, stupid person. Go and die please.

  • @Meganeutronstar

Nah I do. And I'm 100% right... in my opinion. Get of your fucking high horse and sit the fuck down. "Go and die" lulz. Shut the fuck up you absolute twat.

  • @crashin1 Problem?

  • you should all hear the iron maiden cover...

  • I think it's USA mix. I prefer euro mix, it's more strong.

  • Your music preference doesn't mean something is "ruined". If you don't like iron Maiden don't listen to their covers, simple as that.

Anyway, what's wrong with the pitch of the track?

  • You kidding me?

  • @TheMartorelliOne

Another idiot who doesn't appreciate good bands.

  • i like iron maiden cover more...

  • I discover now nektar, I like I like........

  • These songs are on Nektar's new live CD "Fortyfied" celebrating their 40th Anniversary. You can get it from their website, nektarsmusic. You can now also buy the album artwork...and check out the tour schedule...I just saw them play these in concert...awesome!
