And Veejays models were the worst. His collection was also the most drab. Wearable but drab. These Filipino models need lots of coaching and better choreography....
I know this is 3 years after the fact but I didn't know there was a PR Philippines until 4 days ago... What I wanted to point out as my pet peeve (as a model manager and coach) are the models. As beautiful as they are many of them have no idea of how to walk at an even pace. Many walk too fast & some put their hands in the most awkward positions and whats with holding the garments. I know the designer might have thought it was a good idea but it just draws negative attention to the garments.

Project Runway Philippines! You are amazing! Awesome! Congratulations designers. But OMG! Your CAMERA MAN is just so dumb(am sorry!)! There are people who admire and support PRP in the other parts of the world who weren't able to witness the real show. You should have focused on the RUNWAY and not on the expressions of the audience and the judges. We wanna see the designs and not the people nor the judges in that event! What really annoys me is how the camera keeps focusing on the judges and the audiences during the runway...I want to really see the freaking runway, not the judges' stupid expressions and shit.

you're right, he is technically part of the clan because he is the great grandchild of the former president. but as a fourth generation, you cannot really say that he is still riding the name. Jose P had nine children with his legal wife. imagine how diffused the name has been. Rajo is not even the apo of Doy. It's perhaps a matter of perception and actual experience of dealing with the person. and if ever, what is so bad about him riding on his ancestor's claim to fame? it's his anyway.
He looks like he's on the same level as an established designer. I love the way he did his drapings, intricate designs, choice of fabrics and accessories. As a fashion student myself, love to learn from him. Keep it up and wish him all the best.
This guy is FUCKING TALENTED! I adore him. This is the first time I am watching Project Runway Philippines and I am blown away by his collection. I am from Singapore and he is more talented by far than the rest I've seen here online.I love his collection. Absolutely beautiful!
Well I also like Phillip's attitude and he's funny. I hope he'll establish a name for himself in philippine fashion and his positive attitude and confidence will take him a long way hopefully.
Phillip's work sure looks well made and worked on a lot, it somewhat shows filipino style on his clothes but I love veejays style: it's simple, clean and sophisticated though I'm afraid it's not that wowing for the audience. Veejay's clothes are wearable but not really showy for runway shows.

This is my sincere comment,no heart feeling okay!Firstly,the mentor is so GIRLISH compared to other version of this show which the mentor are more smart and well respect.Then,HARD TO UNDERSTAND when they talk philipines language all the time,plz put SUBTITLE next time like other country did.even the english is a bit WEIRD,i mean the way they pronounce it.Next,the models are fat & not that model like.Even the way they edit the show is nothing to be impress with bad quality picture & bad location.
i prefer veejay's collection than philips. its realistic and not loud, its something that i could imagine wearing, specially those outfits in the mid part. soo modern and clean. a lot find it boring but for me, it takes sophistication to appreciate this kind of subdued designs.

PR Malaysia on YouTube is entirely subtitled, and reading the text wasn't easy. If PR Phils designers, judges, and hosts spoke in Tagalog, everything would have to be transcribed in English for YouTube audiences who do not understand our language. In Hawaii, for example, most Filipinos there speak Ilocano and English... not Tagalog.

I think Veejay's collection personified filipinas taste, simple yet sleek and stylish. Less is more. I LOVE IT really. the belting style made the whole look. having the soft and hard balance of it. I LOVE IT!

and to Aris! His collection was truly showstopping!
Medyo safe yung kay Veejay. Philip's was more interesting. The lousy music is so distracting. I think it dragged the looks down and kept me from enjoying the collection as much. Sana mas upbeat, Latin, quirky yung score for Philipp's runway to match his beachy, playful clothes.
And something ambient, techy for VJ's airy, cleancut looks.
All three are very talented. But Phillip is my favorite, his work is amazing. Can't wait to see Aries collection. I hope work flies by so I can get home to see the rest of this finale.
Thanks sweetprojects for the PRP series. I am absolutely hooked on this and I hope there are more seasons to come.
And Veejays models were the worst. His collection was also the most drab. Wearable but drab. These Filipino models need lots of coaching and better choreography....

I know this is 3 years after the fact but I didn't know there was a PR Philippines until 4 days ago... What I wanted to point out as my pet peeve (as a model manager and coach) are the models. As beautiful as they are many of them have no idea of how to walk at an even pace. Many walk too fast & some put their hands in the most awkward positions and whats with holding the garments. I know the designer might have thought it was a good idea but it just draws negative attention to the garments.

Project Runway Philippines! You are amazing! Awesome! Congratulations designers. But OMG! Your CAMERA MAN is just so dumb(am sorry!)! There are people who admire and support PRP in the other parts of the world who weren't able to witness the real show. You should have focused on the RUNWAY and not on the expressions of the audience and the judges. We wanna see the designs and not the people nor the judges in that event! To PRP, please do orient CAMERA MANS next time. Thanks!

What really annoys me is how the camera keeps focusing on the judges and the audiences during the runway...I want to really see the freaking runway, not the judges' stupid expressions and shit.

you're right, he is technically part of the clan because he is the great grandchild of the former president. but as a fourth generation, you cannot really say that he is still riding the name. Jose P had nine children with his legal wife. imagine how diffused the name has been. Rajo is not even the apo of Doy. It's perhaps a matter of perception and actual experience of dealing with the person. and if ever, what is so bad about him riding on his ancestor's claim to fame? it's his anyway.

Phillip's work sure looks well made and worked on a lot, it somewhat shows filipino style on his clothes but I love veejays style: it's simple, clean and sophisticated though I'm afraid it's not that wowing for the audience. Veejay's clothes are wearable but not really showy for runway shows.

i prefer veejay's collection than philips. its realistic and not loud, its something that i could imagine wearing, specially those outfits in the mid part. soo modern and clean. a lot find it boring but for me, it takes sophistication to appreciate this kind of subdued designs.

phillip's creation gave embroidery & crochet a fresh look. AWESOME!
however, the judges felt that there's so much going on in his designs & it lacks cohesiveness. had he just listened to jojie's advise, he would have won.
aries's creation on d other hand was indeed spectacular even though d 3-piece "surprise" thing w/c brought d house down & really got d judges nod, isn't original. have seen it before in an alexander mcqueen fashion show in london.

Veejay's English is not perfect, but it's MUCH BETTER THAN THE ABOVE AVERAGE AMERICAN's. Most of my American colleagues have advanced degrees; and some of them couldn't speak English as well as Veejay does.
Ease up on people's communications skills. I've seen your posts and I'd prefer Veejay's any day of the week and twice on Sundays.
Yes, this is ProRunPhil...but its viewership IS NOT LIMITED TO FILIPINO AUDIENCE. I'd rather hear "carabao English" than read subtitles.

Why do you think more than half of Americans attending or who have attended college scored less than 500 (out of 800) in their English SATs? Even those admitted to some of the most selective schools in the US rarely scored above 650.

PR Malaysia on YouTube is entirely subtitled, and reading the text wasn't easy. If PR Phils designers, judges, and hosts spoke in Tagalog, everything would have to be transcribed in English for YouTube audiences who do not understand our language. In Hawaii, for example, most Filipinos there speak Ilocano and English... not Tagalog.

there's a big difference bet. somebody who expressed himself in english verbally & committed a mistake & that of someone who did it in writing. u pointed out in ur defense of veejay that he doesn't have any time to edit what he said. therefore, he needs to be careful coz he's in natl tv. kaya nga pinuri ko si phillip sa pagtatagalog niya eh.

Ay inang...I'd be a millionaire if I had a dime for every one of your grammatical mistakes. 'Di naman ako magko-comment kung di mo nilait ang Ingles ni Veejay eh. Ang problema sa mga mistakes mo ay FUNDAMENTAL (i.e., you do not understand some of the mechanics of the English language).
You are entitled to your opinion. But you were being judgmental in your comment re: Veejay's English proficiency..."NAGPAPAKASOSYAL KASI!". Ibang bagay na when you pass judgment on others.

yeah, i find veejay to be d typical gay na pasosyal. that's my perception (and i am entitled to that) of him based on what i've seen on tv. if he's not in real life, well & good. i stand corrected.

When a person speaks grammatically-flawed and heavily-accented English, the first thing that comes to my mind is that of ADMIRATION. Because it is an indication that the s/he speaks another language. That alone puts her/him in the top 5% of the world's population. Kahit na ang mga kababayan natin na may puntong Bisaya o Ilocano o mali-mali ang pagta-Tagalog ay hinahangaan ko dahil ang karamihan sa kanila ay tatlong linguwahe ang alam salitain. That puts them in an elite group among the top 5%.

(1) You're both 22 pero Veejay already has a stable career and is the primary breadwinner of his family. Ikaw PALAMUNIN pa rin!!!
(2) Veejay is more proficient at his primary language (Filipino) than you are at yours (English).
(3) Veejay is more proficient at his secondary language (English) than you are at yours (Filipino)

I think Veejay's collection personified filipinas taste, simple yet sleek and stylish. Less is more. I LOVE IT really. the belting style made the whole look. having the soft and hard balance of it. I LOVE IT!
congrats to philip as well.

Medyo safe yung kay Veejay. Philip's was more interesting. The lousy music is so distracting. I think it dragged the looks down and kept me from enjoying the collection as much. Sana mas upbeat, Latin, quirky yung score for Philipp's runway to match his beachy, playful clothes.
And something ambient, techy for VJ's airy, cleancut looks.

All three are very talented. But Phillip is my favorite, his work is amazing. Can't wait to see Aries collection. I hope work flies by so I can get home to see the rest of this finale.
