It's an awesome piece of music and I wonder why they continue to ignore the 12" mix. The way the beats at the end go out of time with each other is genius and something I can't recall elsewhere. It made dancing to this track just incredible, inspiring, euphoric.
A great pulsating dance beat and abstract lyrics.
It was a track intended for Empires and Dance but was rejected by Arista at the time, although they stuck it on Celebration complitation album after the band had split from them and signed with Virgin...
This is great stuff...their early days were days of creativity and experiment, of great sounds. The lost this energy somewhere along the way...NGD was their last great album.
It´s awesome definitely!!! These guys were so innovative and creative, so much experimental and original. We don't listen to music like that these days

@iconicshrubbery I dont agree, I think Life in a Day and Empires and dance is one of their best works.. including New gold dream

They took the kraftwerk sound far beyond their contemporaries reaching a dance form of trance and rock when trance as we know doesn´t even existed.

Why have I not commented on this yet? One of their best songs off "Empires and Dance". Sexy, slinky, and totally with that abstract, New Wave flavor.
