I've watched this video at least twenty times and I never tire of it. It's the best video of a Syncro ever. Love the music and the good times that are being had. And he snatched that Toyota right out of the mud, boy. Boohah! I have a 1984 Vanagon GL, metalic brown. Rock on guys. Make more videos and post them! By the way, your Syncro sounds smooth, strong and clean.

Hey, man, is it possible to find just the Syncro chassis and swap a '72 Bus body onto it? Because I have a Bus, and I love my older Busses, but I miss 4WD (used to have an awesome lil' Datsun P/U 4WD, all I miss was the 4WD). Living up here on a muddy mountain (Mt. Hood), I haven't driven my Volkswagen in six months because of the weather, so I'm using a neighbor's truck for now.

I'v seen 4x4 buses before, but they weren't syncro, the vany chassis is too big for a bus shell, me thinks.

vanagons are bigger, watercooled, better built, less prone to rust, higher resale value, etc... if you were to buy one, you'd probably never go back!!

my advice? restore the bus for a keepsake and find a nice syncro vany to play with!!

the 16v is not an off road motor, shouldve left it in a gli where its supposed to be.
