R.I.P. Joe, You were one of the greatest :(( One of my dreams was to see you all guys live, won't happen now :( So sad.. A big loss, and he was so unknown for most people.
By the way.... if you like this band I recommend my friends youtube channel. You can see other Japanese bands and the history our rock music. Search for his channel with "History of rock music in Japan. Part 1 (日本のロックの歴史、パート1)"
@hebneh It is counter-culture band which began during Japanese student revolution movement. There was the melee between zengakuren and others where Joe almost killed a man with his fists. The concert began and the title "Make Up" was changed to Make P for peace. There were many bands at this concert to support the stop of violence and war. It was in relation to the United States claim to begin bombing Vietnam again, presence of US soldiers in Japan, Japanese student violence, Korean war etc
THIS IS FOCKIN AMAZING. JAPANESE GUYS ALWAYS PUTS EVERYTHING TO THE EXTREME... ( FROM MUSIC TO EVERYTHINGELSE) MAYBE ITS AN AFTER EFFECT OF THE BOMB...THE NUCLEAR ONE.
Tnanks for this wonderful clip! They played here in Toronto last week... OMG, they were just absolutely fantastic! Wish I had heard them back then... They are still rocking away like crazy how amazing! Very friendly easy going guys. Joe, you are especially most memorable and unforgettable. Can't take my eyes off you on stage! Hope to see u perform again either here in Toronto or even better, Tokyo! Keep up the good work guys! All the very best!! - Brenda from Toronto
This is incredibly. It reeks very much of early heavy metal, but while having a strong pyschedelic rock edge. Also, the instrument being played here, which is essentially an electric sitar, is amazing.
This performance is awesome. It's so awesome, in fact, that I think it echoed throughout time itself and created rock n roll in the fifties before FTB was even formed.
Just wonderfulonly just discovered themmakes you wonder how no one has played them on UK radio or TV..Record labels dont like competition I suppose??..Brill
@yaitsreallyme hahaha, i think @appleheadofficial ment the hole Satori album, you know more than 3 minutes haha. By the way, Flowers Travellin' Band its one of the best ever.... lml
Just saw them live!!! In Toronto, great little intimate venue, was 2-3 meters from Joe and the band! They are better than ever, with all the energy they had in their youth! Best concert ever
First heard this band in Deadly Outlaw Rekka, an awesome Revenge Film by Takashi Miike the entire album was the music for the movie, and one day a friend of mine gave me a burned copy of their album that I had no idea was them til Satori 1 kicked in man did I rock out hard to it, still do lol. Wish they made more albums. But this one is a good legacy
22 years ago me and my friends ate large amounts of LSD and jammed this song, Even now when I hear it I get the feeling of that youth, where did all the good times go?????????
I was lucky enough to see this band at a university party in the early 70s. They were great but only got to do this song and one other (Nagasaki I think) before a fake bomb scare cleared the joint. The lead singer went bananas when the campus cops came in.
I actually saw these guys in the fall of 1970. they played a short set, cancelled by, of all things, a "bomb threat". They got in 2 songs, this one and another that I think was caleld Nagasaki. They were great live. And very loud.
i found out about them from the anti social skate sesh by girl, check it out, its like the best sesh of 07, better then any shit from 08 as well(of wat ive seen)
