I'm also confused about registration of users. I thought Wordpress automatically flags people to become a member when they go to private pages. However, my latest version of WP does no such thing
Thanks for the video, im a bit confused about register of users, am I expected as admin to set a password for them and then email this password to them.
@SirMarjAlot Did you get an answer to this? I'm lost , too. The Forums Login widget has a place to fill in the Register URI and lost password URI but I don't know what to do with that. Anybody?
I can't seem to get my forums to show up on any page at all...even with topics started, still shows as "no topics started" and blank. It says something about needing to be in a "group" first, then topics can be created. I'm also using plugins BuddyPress and s2member. Any thoughts? Not sure what is wrong. I really want this to work though! TY
Adding search is essential for virtually any useful forum, bbPress 2.0 gets easy unified search with "Search for bbPress", free in the WordPress plugin directory
Thank you for the good tutorial. I am struggling to load my custom themes cause I don't know what is the correct location. I also read that I have to add the add_theme_support('bbpress') but I don't know where. Can you please help me by giving absolute URLs cause I just feel stupid.
for me this was kinda mess, also theres some weird things like voices thru this and that posts voices replies etc.. So i just uset Vanilla :D

Quick question, you covered topics and forums, what about posts? when you created these topics? do they count as posts? cz they don't here with me.

@PoeticLisence62
You have to include the meta widget into your sidebar, for them to login or then register.
I then have a problem with wordpress sending out activation emails. It not do it basically and not clear why not

@csabilazar ok, I changed my Permalinks setting to Default with the id number instead of the post name. That allows me to view my forums
