Not all of the unrecovered soldiers are on the gate, lot's of 'em have memorial headstones at the cemetaries. Sadder still, to think of all those other soldiers that are not remembered at all, just because they were on the losing side (how 'guilty' or voluntary can virtually uninformed, or even conscripted boys be).
