In the first half of SuperS (with the trio) there all guys and follow a different villan, and the quartet are 4 girls who (in the manga) would b Chibiusa's future guardians. The amazoness quartet are named after asteroids ( hence why they are sometimes called the "asteroid senshi" ), while in the Trio you have _____'s eye as a name

Have you noticed that as the years go on, the changes done to each new opening get more and more minor, and the openings themselves get less and less obscure. If Sailor Moon had a sixth season, both openings would be almost the exact same and they would probably give away the entire plot.

People hate the English dub because it mangled the storyline, tried to Americanize the setting, added the corny "Sailor Moon says!"-segment, censored unnecessary little things, turned the lesbian couple into cousins... you get the idea.

@Deffie Not everyone hates the Dub. I for one, adore it. If it weren't for the Dub a lot of English speakers never even would have been introduced to Sailor Moon. I know I certainly wouldn't. The Dub was aimed at children so they had to Americanize it. I've watched the Japanese version and there are many cultural references that a lot of people wouldn't understand. And, at the time, it was risque to even consider putting a lesbian couple into a childrens show. I honestly don't blame them.

@Deffie all necessary changes because they were marketing it to kids, not to die-hard anime fans. Back in the 90s, if a company's gonna acquire a show like this, they're gonna look at it from a merchandising and marketing standpoint, because in the 90s anime wasn't a huge "thing" yet in the states. Now if FUNimation were to finally acquire it, THEN you would get an accurate dub catering towards anime fans, not kids.

@EmSeeSquared So true...because lesb. couple? Not really good for kids. Neither is anything extremly emotional or out of setting. Plus, since they where aiming for kids SMS was kind of nessessary and gave infomation for young kids. Plus, to be extremly honest, the ANIME SM butchered the storyline because a lot was in the Manga that was left out and/or changed in the anime.

@dieliala i wouldn't say the anime "butchered" the manga's story, but it DID take liberties with it, such as cramming it it full of fillers, tweaking everyone's Moon Kingdom backstories, and eliminating that special sword, to name a few things.

Plus in the anime they did change come personalities (Such as Raye's/Rei's) and take out things (Such as Tuxido(sp) mask's exploding roses) the anime didn't stay true to the manga for the most part. The starlights where suppose to be like Haruka (Females dressing as guys) but instead, made them guys who transform into girls, Who Chibi Chibi actually is, etc.

@dieliala all true. but as i said, liberties, not butchering. Butchering implies that the material is made genuinely worse than it was before. However, while they changed things, it was still a thoroughly entertaining show.

@EmSeeSquared So true ;) Because I actually like the english dub of most of the animes I watch (Pokemon, MMP, SM (although the VAs in season 3+ werent that good), etc.) so if you don't like soemthing, you shouldn't watch it and ruin it for those who do with your rants about how much it sucks ;)

Because of a character appearance conflict in the manga. In SuperS manga Uranus, Neptune, Pluto and Saturn do appear but y'know the incident with Queen Nehellenia that took place at the beginning of the fifth season? Well, that part stays in the SuperS in the manga. Because of the unexpected appearance of the Outer Senshi in the manga, the anime producers didn't have time to include them in the anime. That's all. That's why the manga's better. :D
