  • 3:08 - How a maid can milk a bull. And every stroke a bucket full !

Brit Ekland probably could back in those days....

  • Now, if he HAD given in to temptation... Two things would've happened.

1.) He would've had sex with Willow. *High-Five.*

2.) He would no longer be a virgin, thus, would escape the Wicker Man.

    That poor, devout fool. =(

  • I just slapped the wall and hurt my fingers.

  • Good example of a beautiful and colorful yet terrifying film...I still cannot understand the motivations behind that awful remake.

  • @martrex2

Money. Fortunately, it resulted in a loss of just over 1 mil.

  • Golliwogg APPROVES of this song.

  • @GolliwoggMusic do you realise that you have a racist name that is likely to inspire offence, and that also, nobody really cares if you approve or disapprove of songs on youtube.

  • @stopthesoftkill Do you realise you are a pompous tosser?

  • great music and movie!

  • How do. The Sneaker Pimps never fail to impress me.

  • Folk may not be my type of genre but the songs in the Wicker man is so suductive and yet so beautiful, great movie and song

  • lady had an "ass" stunt double. apparently the director didnt think she had suffecient junk in her trunk

  • @iagmule Ha ha, thought she looked different in that bit

  • @iagmule lol, how exactly does one audition to be an ass double?

  • @iagmule I think she asked to have a body double for specific parts because she was pregnant at the time...

  • @iagmule

    WRONG

  • Am I the only one who rooted for the Islanders the entire film?

  • @Sephyvamp probably :P

  • I want to live on Summerisle. I loved everything about it...apart from the ritual sacrifice. Take that away, and you've got yourself a utopian ideal of an island.

  • 3 people suffered at the hands of the locals !

  • i don't know man evoking the milking of a goat is not at all erotic

    and i'm a capricorn

  • The wicker man needs some Gaviscon

  • beautiful - but man, such a creepy film...

  • it would be cool if there was an instrumental version of this song

  • this is beautiful, it's seductive in the most calm, gentle, lovely way x

  • does britt ekland actually sing this? x

  • great film

  • *dances..*

  • This song is comforting but also a bit unsettling. Something in the music.

  • @Videot01 Its the violin I think, makes for tenseness?

  • @reefsgirl Probably.

  • This is relaxing.

  • I won't go so far as to say he had it coming to him, insufferable, sanctimonious prick that he was, but, on the other hand, nature has a way of weeding out the people who actively avoid doing things that are in their evident self interest. Like having sex with Willow.

  • Why don't we hear 'I'll catch a rainbow from the sky' in the film?

  • @RedSoxForObama You do in the longer cut.

  • @RedSoxForObama thats in the extended version of the film, which is now in stores on a two disc set including the us release.

  • Damn this music is beautiful

  • Lets be honest. If Britt Ekland offered herself to you, and you declined, then you deserve to be burned at the stake....

  • @mikebrewerisamoron EVEN A GAY GUY WOULD OF DONE HER

  • @riellehunter Interesting as I beleive the composer was GAY-when you get beyond the genitals sex IS SEX-and its power and freedom-which is why the SLAVE GODS of ISLAM and CHRISTIANITY have such issues with it-(and as a result twist it so it comes out as psychopathy and paedophilia!).

CHAOS MAGICK rocks by the way!

  • @riellehunter - i dont think so mate.. very nice music all the same..

  • @mikebrewerisamoron yeah except shes literally done everyone. what if she has an std? or maybe hes scared? i mean hes like 30 something if he hasn't had sex by now he might be scared to.

  • @Montork it's quite possible that there would pretty much be no STDs floating around in that whole community.

the guy was devoted to his religion though and really didn't believe in sex before marriage so that's why he didn't.

  • @sinner539 its possible but it only takes one outsider with it to spoil a whole community.

thats up to him i guess, but the psychological element is there.

  • @sinner539 Even Jesus would give in to this level of temptation.

    ... XD

  • @mikebrewerisamoron

or even in a whicker man :)

  • @mikebrewerisamoron never a truer word said. To be honest I dont think the school teacher or the women in the bath tub wouldve took much chatting up either.

Woodwards running all round that island looking for one missing person when he couldve repopulated the place twice over with the amount of tidy bits that wanted a good may-poling!!!

Burning was to good for the stupid cunt! lol

  • is a night of staying a virgin worth getting roasted the next day? Hell no!

  • thks vin calming me..

  • Such an incredibly sweet song. I've heard similar music in country pubs in Wiltshire. There is a vibe of culture and ancient English tradition attached to this music that is hard to explain but I've never felt anything else like it.

  • @gweflj straight up celtic folk music - if you head up North from london there is loads of pubs just like that strange but true..

  • @sotuf That's great to hear. I thought for some reason it was a west country thing. Shows what I know about folk music!

  • ALSO A SPOILER

And i think theres a bit of a moral to the story. he was so caught up in thinking that his faith was the only one that should be allowed, and took is so seriously that his life revolved around it, leading to his chosen virginity until marriage, and unwillingness to accept anybody else that isn't christian. it screams live and let live in my opinion, well, minus the human sacrifice thing.

  • I guess if that Wicked is able to transform into an angel of light, then it can transform into an angel of night, also.

  • This song is fucking awesome.

  • Anyone else see the image of a face, in the flame just left of the burning wicker man's head?

  • Let me clarify: At about the 2:50 minute mark in this video montage, in the black & white photograph of the burning wicker man, you can see an image in the smoke that looks someone like a wild-haired Beethoven, or maybe a pissed off deity.. At least that's what I see :)

  • Comment removed

  • @rosc2112 Yeah, I see it. Eerie...

  • @rosc2112

Actually, I kinda see a cartoon canary.

  • @rosc2112 I see it. Looks like a face with a big nose. ^^

  • I can safely say I'll never be burned by the pagans, I might join 'em for a jolly frolic and a spot of marshmallow toasting though.

  • I see a face in the smoke in that picture of the wicker man burning O_O

  • This movie lulled me into a false sense of security with it's beautiful folk music and naked babes. That poor policeman......

  • and the truly shocking thing about this movie is that they actually did burn the actor inside the wicker idol. Nah, just kidding, but it would have been a cool piece of trivia.

  • @stopthesoftkill I wish they had in the remake.

  • @koonzelman I felt so sorry for him. But he should have run for it, i wou;d have jumped off the cliff.

  • @TheNosGothica

I would have just ran off the set and out of the studio.

  • Like a Beautiful Siren, Britt Ekland uses music to seduce.

  • community...earth & nature....love it....great film...and great melody and song....

  • of course we still practice paganism in the uk,it one of many reasons the pilgrim fathers fucked off to the new world.they count take the heat ha ha

  • Christopher Lee was GREAT in this movie. I loved it! He's one of the best actors of all time. He's not given nearly all the credit that's due to him.

  • Christopher Lee has said that this is his favorite film. When he saw the script he agreed to act in it for no fee.

  • SORRY TO INTERUPT GREAT VIDEO BY THE WAY...BUT YOU TUBE HOWCOME WHEN I RATE A SONG OR A COMMENT THE RATING DOSNT CHANGE YET IF I REFRESH AND TRY TO DO IT AGAIN (HAVING THAT IT DOSNT COUNT MY VOTE) AND BEHOLD IT SAY I ALREADY VOTED AND IT DOSNT COUNT! YOUTUBE IS F'D UP. sorry i will quit shouting but damn....

  • It's too bad that they had to splice-up this tune in the scene of the movie . That cool body -double naked scene !!!

  • That scene made my organ pound. My heart, I mean LOL

  • Quality music, Quality film. If you've not seen the original movie your in for a treat.

  • One of the sexiest scenes of all time.

  • I didn't know they still practice paganism in the UK.

  • Of course they do ! It's not as popular as Christianity, but it has a large following !

  • best. soundtrack. ever.

  • Great cover of this song was done by Doves from Manchester. If you like this version you will enjoy how well done the Doves did it.

  • The Go! Team made a pretty good cover as well.

  • I'm used to the ass-slapping in this song

  • Great song Cheers babe

  • love this song

    great film

in the film i would have been in that room like a shot such a sexy moment ..

wicker man is such a great classic

  • @robs747 You and me both, dude!!

  • This isn't the same voice. Google 'The Music of The Wicker Man'

  • This is the original soundtrack from the film, so I don't know why it sounds different to you. Different sources will have variable sound qualities, perhaps that's the reason.

  • i love this song

  • Yes, I agree this doesn't sound like the original voice I remember from the film.

  • It isn't . Don't know why saying so gets you the thumbs down !

  • Wicker Man. the beauty of creative freedom..great minds working together..

  • This sounds different to that used in the film, is that correct ?

  • i never noticed the mans face in the smoke in the final image before

  • love this song!

  • Is this the unedited one?

  • GINORMOUS SPOILER

The ironic thing is, had Edward Woodward's character abandoned his Protestant morality and had the night of his life with Willow, he wouldn't have been a virgin and consequently the islanders wouldn't have burnt him. Poor bastard.

  • u watched da film on tv da day u wrote dis init

  • ur right. that is sad ...

  • thats what you get for not shagging britt eklund

for everyone that likes the music from the wicker man, i implore you to listen to some june tabor

nice uploads by the way pal

  • Very insightful observation! His rigid morality killed him! - Now there's a euphemism for a penis that doesn't come up very often.. That's another one! lol!

  • :D Fair play, I think you should be made our leader.

  • Thanks, but I don't own an anorak nor live with my mum. Would that be a problem? lol

  • @lordhaku would be safe to say in the case of Edward Woodward's character that sex would have saved his life.

  • Actually, the whole thing is that he had restraint, which is why they knew they needed to sacrafice him. Had he abandoned his morality, then they would have known they were waisting their time with him. But because he didn't, he was burned.

  • @lordhaku So right...what a great film....in Woodward's defence...he was engaged and that is noble....Willow is too damn fine...ouch!

  • @lordhaku said the same thing lol

  • @lordhaku Good point :) I always thought of it as an attempt to corrumpt him. I never thought of it as a test before.

  • @lordhaku That's the whole point, the Islanders use Willow to test if he is truly pure. When he resists her temptations it strengthens their conviction that he is the right sacrifice.

  • @lordhaku He's a Catholic.

  • "how a maid can milk a boy/and every stroke a bucketful"....(!!?!?!)

  • The lyrics are:

"How a maid can milk a bull!

    And every stroke a bucketful."

  • This would be fantastic song for Kate Bush to do, can you imagine Kates voice put to use on this song?

    It would be truly amazing.

  • I agree... However, Kate Bush has approached her expiration date in the music world, sadly.

  • what!!!! kate bush had a album out in 2005 and went to #3 in the uk and the single got to #4!!! she chooses when to re-appear its not because she is irellivent or no-one cares, it was an amazing album as well!!

  • Totally agree .... This is the kind of song for Kate Bush

  • both versions are amazing because the song itself is pretty...of course...we all miss kelly Ali...she has made a couple of records on a solo career...both have good tracks...

  • Brit didn't sing this in the movie though-the girl who played Daisy did I believe-she was the rather oafish "child" in the classroom that lamented the poor beetle on a string.

    She sang the song.

  • singing redubbed by Annie Ross

  • IF YA'LLZ LOVE THIS SONG u should check out

the cover by the sneaker pimps - how do.

its very good, its neat to see the origins of that song. i knew the cover before this vers.

  • That must be an awesome class!

  • Lol well, in film studies you generally watch films :P

  • Only watched this in class the other day but been obsessed with this song since

  • The cop had serious mental problems for not visiting her!!

  • my thoughts exactly...poor old sod.

  • The scene this belongs to is very eerie and even kind of disturbing, this song is pure magic though :D

  • I know I've seen the film, but the naked actress is gorgeus!!

  • Completely agree. I just saw this a few eeks ago on a recommendation and I loved all the songs in the film. I wasn't really expecting a "musical," but all the songs fit perfectly.

  • It's like a mermaid calling to you! and you are just captured by her beautiful singing! you would want to make love to her forever, she's a Boticellian Venus!!

  • I know I would have had zero chance of visiting her bedroom - even for a million pounds

  • This scene from the Wiker Man, along with Willow's Song in the background is the most haunting and erotic moment in Cinema history. I totally fell in love with Brit Ekland.

  • Is it just me or did the last two lines of the song sounded perverted?

  • stroke a bucket full...

  • Love this tune...can anyone recommend any other tunes on the same folk vibe?

  • Truly fabulous, played this for the first time this evening to my fiancee and she imediately fell in love with it and wants to have it played at our wedding, thanks for the posting.

  • In the film this song builds up to a hypnotic climax. How Sgt Howie could stop himself visiting Willow's bedroom I do not know...

  • Ever so beautiful, thanks.

  • sends me shivers

  • Perfect.
