You may want to check with the judge Audionautix on this, because he is very well versed in copyright law from what I understand, and maybe he can clarify for you. I would hate to see such a good entry disqualified... If that's the case though there is still time to edit with a non-copyrighted song and re-upload. It would be a shame because the song is so perfect for the vid! (But it would be better than being disqualified.)

I have this SAME video (30 secs. longer) version on my DelisaProductions channel, I submitted it for revenue sharing with Youtube and they accepted the video. This is karaoke (no copyright infringement by the original artist from OVER 60 years ago!!) and is completely acceptable.

I wasn't so lucky; I had a video of myself doing "Sweet Georgia Brown" and there wasn't even a backing track--it was just me whistling--and that song was written way back in 1925... I was so miffed that I had to delete that video because according to YT it was still copyright infringement?!? Anyway, I truly was only trying to be helpful. Your entry is awesome! That song alone is scary!!! lol..GR8 VID, Im uploading my first fiwaszewski vid in over 7 months..NIGHT OF SANTERIA!!! PERFECT 4 HALLOWEEN! Will b the most darkest video of all of my videos!!! One thing Im going to mention, the most impressive thing bout your work, and most peeps that watch it may not even notice, is the photography and editing..U cut the vid like it's an actual short film! Ive noticed that for years, dont know if I ever mentioned it
@fiwaszewski Thanks Forrest. Yes, I've always kept that in mind. I do multiple camera angles for every scene. So I have alot of footage to play with at the end of the day. It's all about fitting the pieces together like a jigsaw puzzle. Hardiest part is one scene Pops arms are down and my eyes are in one direction, and I have to find the right piece to edit next that will match up to our body position.

@EvilBender47 Thank you Petr!! Glad you raised that point. From watching Rich's video he stated the word "trapped" can be interpreted in many ways. Of course there is being physically & psychologically trapped, some wonderful videos in this contest on this theme, I wanted to try a different approach. The man in the video is obviously trapped in a bad situation and this was his remedy of dealing with it.

@PuppyZwolle Thanks Pups!! Out of curiosity what kind of package were you thinking for the BG?? It's only after I post do I think of all the ways I could of changed something. I'd love to hear your ideas. That end scene when Pops was packing the grave, by the time we got to film it was already night time. All day filming for 2 & half min video......time just flies.
@QUEENOFEVlLFrankly I'm amazed you did all this filming in just one day. I know that most 'professional productions' only do a few camera settings a day. So this could have taken a week of shooting easy. It's done with style and flair. It is a great 'short short' and more idea's would not have made it better. It has a nice timing to it and the double twist is excellent! The only thing I would have added was a more prominent, earlier 'introduction' of the third player; the tree.
I mean when you see the two people in the car smoking, it would have been nice to see some bin-liner sticking out between them in the back. Something like that. Not unlike the rippling of the water in a Jaws movie.
