This whole footage looks and sounds as if it was filmed in the early 70s or even as part of some kind of underground proto-doom band in the late 60s... Really adds to the feel of it all. Too bad you can't hear the bass though.

I'm curious if Pike listened to a lot of blues growing up? It sounds like it to me. Thanks for posting this. I was listening to Sleep in this era. I had just finished high school and this and Neurosis's "enemy of the sun" was in heavy rotation in my cd player. Clutch and Kyuss was in their prime.

Sorry dude, interviews with Matt Pike and Al Cisneros show that Chris Hakius (their drummer) has given up on music, forever probably. Big shame, and it also means that the reunion in the UK was probably the last time Sleep ever played with its original line-up.

Kick ass footage, Sleep is one of my favorite bands, but Om is my favorite by far. Al Cisneros in Om is the reason i bought a fuzz pedal for my bass.

Well aske0 i actually have 3, the first is the Bass Big Muff Pi, it holds a shit load of bass in the signal and get super deep and heavy, next is the Devi Ever Bass Fuzz, it has a lot of bass but its sound is a little fuzzier and not as deep, a lot like Al's bass on flight of the eagle, then last is the DS-1, even though its actually a guitar distortion, it gives me this really cool trebly industrial type sound, it sounds a lot like the bass on Your Path to Divinity by Jesu.
