msg is not the problem, although it is a processed product is actually a natural product, the chinese have been using it for decades, not many fat chinese about !... the real concern should be transfat, this is a manufactured product from the petrochemical industry, and should be banned worldwide. Refined sugar is just about theworst thing you can ovr indulge in as this feeds cancer tumours and accelerates their growth.

I agree. However, I suspect these tastes and smells are a little more subtle. I can't remember the last time I had fast food and too me it's all the same and smells like frying. However, whether you are really trying to taste the food or not you are still sensing the subtle differences which make the food seem more unique and desirable. I remember as a child I always liked coca-cola products more than Pepsi. Now I simply dislike them both for the same reasons.

most of the flavourings you talk about in food are salt and we know that salt increases heart disease and strokes. they know this and don't care either they just want you to buy there product nothing you eat that comes in a pre cooked pre packed container is good for you but when you got four kids and a family to feed you take the easy option most people would love to eat healthier but TIME now days is short for most people pre made meals are designed to make your life easier not healthier .!!
