what i do in summer time is taking mine outside to the tfront yard use the hose in MIST mode and she loves it... my dog does too XD

I was giving a friend's Double Yellowhead a shower like that one time and I said something about how she was a very wet bird. She shook out her feathers and flapped her wings real hard, drenching me with water, then crowed, 'Hi, wet bird!'

I actually just turn the shower on and put my cockateil in the bathtub. I mean it's on mist but does anyone know if it's still too much pressure for them? He doesn't seem to mind.

Have you tried putting him under your shower, on a warm rinse? I do that with my grey. I didnt know he would like it til I tried it, now he cant get enough of it...

I had to sign up and comment here. My mini-macaw, Gilligan, loves this video! Poncho is his favorite to watch. It's pretty halarious. The first time we watched this video, he jumped in the shower with me and hung his wings like poncho (which Gilli has never done before), then soaked himself to the bone. Now, I can't get him out of the shower when I'm trying to get out!

I haven't tried a spray bottle with my Sunburst, usually I take him in the shower with me and let the water bounce off my head into a fine mist and he does the same thing (less talking though). Though he doesn't object to taking them on his own either.

He loves taking a shower. It's obvious with how he opens up his wings and the sounds he makes. I have a have a lilac crown amazon and when I try to spray him he tries to hide behind one of his toys, so I stop. but mine would take a bath on his own from his water dish and he only does this every weekend only.

Poncho here obviously LOVES getting bathed! You are wrong to think he's is suffering AT ALL! He would be trying to escape and screaming real LOUD if he didn't like it, instead of sitting there spreading his wings and making coo coo sounds of happiness!
