  • That third dis-harmonic note is just as tragic as the rest of the movie :(

  • Class film, brilliant soundtrack.

  • This song gets to the weakest and most emotional part of a persons heart...

I know I cry everytime I hear this song..

  • This music touches the deepest places of the human soul... it makes me think of the difficult moments and crisises, but also the graces and the divine beauties of the life... Our life....is a wonder, a possibility, a challenge, a noble but difficuld fight, a present of God for the others...how mysterious is this...and how mysterious is the love, what does truly give itself entirely for the other one...

  • Aww man, I cry everytime I hear this. And this part in the movie just makes me go nuts =/

  • I love the awkward off key in the song; it shows that small bit of imperfection can blend smoothly in this piece.

  • @iamTHEJulyMota Yes!! That's why I love it. Absolutely beautiful.

  • This movie, this soundtrack inspires.

  • I find myself commenting yet again because this is just too remarkable.

  • im not an emotional person. but this song is truly remarkable it makes me sad but somehow happy for everything i've got. it is a perfect piece of music :)

  • this piece is amazing...the entire song is beautiful but the repeating notes that sound 'out of tune' is like the painful sadness of the accident that taints his life, and the song.

  • @finitosantiago

yes, i share your comment entirely :-)

  • Pure beauty.

  • Truly inspirational...thank you Will Smith

  • this is the most beautiful ballet i've ever heard, it reminds me of the first time i saw my true lv...

  • Atention!!Atention!! Heavenly News!!! God's Ipod has been hacked!!

  • This movie ripped me to pieces..

  • I made love to this <3 And it was sensational!

  • That 'off key' is haunting....haunting beautiful.

  • omg i cried so much at the end of the movie :'(

  • Each note that was played struck my heart.

Is this the meaning of" being alive?"

  • omg i loved it so much the movie the music :'( its sooo sad :( :( :(

  • This song has me in pain... not emotional pain, but physical. I feel like I'm about to vomit.

  • This song always brings tears to my eyes. It's so powerful, it must be to give the film so much effect. It's better than words can describe, I love this song!

  • This originally belongs to a movie directed by Giuseppe Tornatore in 1998 called "The legend of 1900" beautiful movie with Tim Roth and awesome OST by Ennio Morricone, check it out.

  • This song is about a mission... a mission to right your wrongs... to find peace.

  • This makes a person think about all you once had., or the 1 you let get away. It evokes a disturbing emotional force that swells inside your soul. It moves me to a place that I don't like to be & reduces me into a child who would never see his mother again. Even as I set here & type this tears are hard to keep back. Oh how I wish I could have said good bye or hugged you 1 last time & said I love you mom. I'm not to much on emotions so I've been told. But this piece of music tares me apart...dam.

  • it soo damn touching! :(

  • I want to do something really good... that's how I feel like after listening to this song. Every time I watch Seven Pounds and listen to this music I feel alive. Don't you guys have feeling sometimes that sadness is what makes life perfect?..

  • all about that minor 2nd clash. It's like that clash is the darkness of the story which is accompanied by a beautiful melody - just like how Ben is a beautiful guy ya know

  • such a good song and was perfect for the movie

  • This soundtrack tore my heart to bits in the movie... so full of confusion, misery, despair, sorrow and regret

  • esta peli me toco el corazon......

  • I love this song!!! I've been looking for it 4ever!

  • only...ennio...incredible

  • mindblowing!!

  • I get chills every time I listen to this beautiful work of art. This piece is so inspiring. It gives me a sense of hope, a sense that regardless of how things may seem, somewhere in the future it looks much better than it does right now.

  • que linda canción, y en esta película, intensifica las emociones que producen las imágenes y el tema, muy buena

  • I knew I heard this song from somewhere.

    Legend of 1900. <3

  • Oh my heart. It's on the verge of exploding from the bittersweet beauty in this magnificent piece

  • ive tried not to cry while listening to this song...but ots impossible

  • was looking for this track so so so sad...and damn what a movie..i useally dont like drama or crying at movies but i did at this one.

  • Bittersweet is the word for this song. <3

  • The third note makes my body flinch and my heart sob. It hurts, in a beautiful way.

  • Will Smith can be so many characters in movies, with a suit...

...and it sounds like a note out of key, but ... is it ?

  • @Scaar81 The out of key note is on purpose.

  • es relamente preciosa.entreno cn ella....

  • greatest instrumental of all time

  • This movie makes me a better person everytime i watch it

  • This song is originally from The Legend Of 1900, another good movie you all should go check out.

  • such an underrated movie! more people need to appreciate this film.

  • I've been looking for this song for sooo long... It's truly amazing, and reminds me that life can get tough, but there is hope.. Even if you do need to go through, and witness, all the hurt and sadness around us...

    It fits the movie perfectly..

I love this song, it's beautiful.

  • This music was made for the movie "la leggenda del pianista sull'oceano" (the legend of 1900) by ennio morricone...

The director Gabrile Muccino used it for this movie.. the movie makes me think

  • This move had me crying the hole way through, we watched in class and not only were the the girls crying, the boys were tearing up too.

Make a difference reach out to those in need. <3

  • is there a video where its on repeat?

  • @bluejellyrox

You can play a video on repeat if you have it as the only song on a playlist.

  • 2 dislikes??????? how could anyone dislike this??

  • @bethany311997 people with no hearts

  • very deep film and song...

  • This song is amazing if i have to do that to give a life for a person who a i love i do it amazing song!! XD

  • Probably one of the most emotional/beautiful endings of all time.

  • The movie was already sad. & this song added to it & I COULD NOT STOP CRYING!

  • The way I see this is that we have a beautiful piece of music somewhat sabotaged by a rogue note, and that is what ben's life has become. He can go on to have all these beautiful things in his life but he can't ever be happy because his mind is sabotaged by the memory of what happened.

  • me encanta la pelicula y esta musica, preciosaaaaaaaaaaa

  • i think that the "off key" is what makes this song PERFECT

  • @MrSOUNDSPEED Likewise...off, but right on time. This made a grown man cry.

  • @MrSOUNDSPEED Exactly, that ''off key'' moves something inside and that hurt a lot. I don't want to be sensitive, but it's beautiful and painful when you feel it. It's like you don't walk perfectly because one of your leg is bleeding of misery ...

  • @MrSOUNDSPEED Great comment that I fully agree with. As an artist and musician myself, the discordant note literally and musically allows the song to say "Nothing's Perfect". Seriously. For all of you, close your eyes and picture each note saying to you "Nothing's Perfect". It's brilliant. A perfect track for a beautiful movie. God Bless, and may we all be so considerate of others.

  • @MrSOUNDSPEED that my friend is called dissonance, and is a mighty beautiful thing.

  • i think that the "off key" is what makes this song PERFECT.

  • I cannot stop crying about half an hour with this movie

  • i have nothing to be sad over and it makes me cry

  • love this song <3

  • this song make me cry

  • It's the discordant notes that make this so emotional. It suggests that something is broken. The first time that I heard the mis-matched notes in the song I chuckled to myself thinking that the artist had made a mistake on the keyboard. Very powerful music and for whatever reason, not on the soundtrack of the movie "Seven Pounds".

  • saddest song i've ever heard in my whole life.

  • It takes alot to bring me to tears but this movie did very good movie and very good acting by will smith

  • truly beautiful film. one of my favourites of all time. and this soundtrack is the cherry on the top.

  • had my first kiss to this song

  • a very bittersweet song

  • It had to be Ennio Morricone, this guy must have angels singing in his ears when he composes.

  • I cried =[

  • Spettacolareeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • This film made me think during the movie, this song went round in my head after the movie reminding me of the movie, I love the song, I love the movie, possibly one of the best films ever made, and honestly under-rated!

  • both the song and movie are the best thing invented since saturday and sunday lol

  • this piece has me speechless. far beyond amazing

  • Nothing is perfect.

  • 2 people missed the like button gr8 song 7 pounds my fav film must see guys

  • perfect amount of dissonant dose of harmony.

  • O' my God this is just, damn. reminds me of every sad thing i've gone through ever

  • god this movie was so good. this song reminds us what is not perfect can still be good in some sense whether its true love, being with the one you really care about, etc. good job will smith you are a great actor!

  • a primeira vez que ouvir essa musica foi vendo o filme sete vidas, acredito que me emocionei mais ainda no filme pelo fato dessa musica esta tocando. e muito triste, mas e ao mesmo tempo linda!

  • Powerful movie, and powerful music. I love it.

  • Thank you... Ennio Morricone for stabbing me in the chest repeatedly. This music is life... bittersweet.

  • I hear "Nuh - things - per - fect" over and over.

    I love this song tho.

  • I loved this song back when it was used in "The Legend of 1900" , however it worked better here in this movie......Genius to use it on tis picture. The picture built up the emotion and this song finished it BEAUTIFULLY.

  • I agree with most of the comments I've read on here in regards to the discordant third note. When I first heard the song the first time I watched the movie, my initial reaction was that what could have been a great song was botched; tainted. However, like the movie itself, the song is something that makes you think and reflect later on and now - particularly given some personal circumstances - I can't help but to appreciate both for the tear-jerking masterpieces that they are. God Bless!

  • This song is great for Seven Pounds because it reminds me of Ben like his life what happen, his hurt, his pain, his guilt and then he falls in love then he feels his heart again (corny I know) Its like he's found hope again but the messed up cord is an a reminder of his past to what he did and also knowing that he will not be here longer with his true love and he loves her but he has to let her go in order to save her. Alawys bring trears to my eyes this movie.

  • i'm gonna cry

  • Nice...

  • I know when I first watched the movie, the third note ANNOYED the crap out of me. But after watching it again tonight, I felt like that note was in there for a reason. That no matter how perfect something may seem, there are flaws. The girl he loved needed a heart, and no matter how much he loved her and wanted to be with her, he knew that if she didn't survive, he would. He knew he had to give his heart to her for her to survive because the inevitable was this: one of them would die either way

  • @glamisbabeatv

    stfu

  • This is one of the most moving pieces of music I've ever heard. I loved it in the movie...it fit the mood and his tumultuous feelings completely. I'm so glad I've found the name of the piece and of the composer.

  • If you guys like this stuff, you should check out Eric Whitacre's choral work. Beautiful dissonance executed in the most perfect way imaginable.

  • beautiful..

  • great

  • we all hear that third note. music is music man. nothin is supposed to be perfect and the best part about it is that the writer made this clash/flaw on purpose which proves exactly how Imperfect ANYTHING could be which makes it so much better.

  • Emily looks for the guy who has will's eyes

she sees him says his name

    "are you a parent"

    Emily:" No"

    Emily looks into his eyes

He realizes who she was and says

    "You must be Emily"

Emily starts nodding crying and hugs him

  • Morricone is simply...the best.

  • I think the off note is fitting with the movie, it's as if the pianist was experiences the emotional distress that is witnessed in all the ending scenes of the film. It's really fitting of the character Tim, the song is beautiful just like the good deeds that he did for those 7 characters, and those clashing notes are like the 7 lives he took. Just my crazy take on it.

  • Does no one hea the clash? the movie was so sick, the music was sick also but up until i heard this i was laughing about how bad it sounded, a really inappropriate clash on the 3rd note of the phrase. would be so good without it.

  • huge movie, huge soundtrack

  • i can listen to this over and over again =]

  • @Daydreamer2441 Its Tim, not Ben

  • @swaikis its ben mate :)

  • @lilcasy14 It's Tim man you shud watch it for another time cuz..ok ill explain. Tim aka Will Smith took his younger brothers IRS card and he pretended he was Ben tho he is TIM. Thank you

  • @swaikis who cares?

  • @wedge1990 I do

  • @swaikis all you've got from the big message that daydreamer2441 put online was that? rly? i don't care if he said ben instead of tim actually, if you do, it's ok

  • @wedge1990 Why in the hell did you reply to my comment if it's ok with you?

  • @Daydreamer2441 I know whatyou mean. It's saddenning love. A beginning that has a beautiful end. It makes me cry...even without seeing the movie. The chords really move me because they explain what's going on in the scene. A new love that has to come to an end. The minor chords explain it all. I could go on but I don't want to be a sap. It's oh so lovely.

  • @Daydreamer2441 funny you say that, cause it´s EXAAACTLY what I thought as well!!!

  • @Daydreamer2441 Isnt the only good ,and when I say good I mean HUMAN movie...Movie about suffer, love, movie avout FEELINGS....movie about how sh its happened all the time....Always remember my girl(past girl) when I listen this god music...Great description daydreamer...

  • i cry everytime i hear this and i dnt even like music like this but this is just beautiful

  • what else...

  • It makes you cry because of the seemingly "off" note played every couple seconds.

    I remember watching "Seven Pounds"

and bawling at the end when his lover meets the guy that tooks his eyes.

  • @Tomahorn omfg!!! me 222 i cryedd soooo muchhhh

  • God I was crying the last like 20 minutes of this movie, I loved it, and I'm a 16 year old guy.

  • @XOniMajoraX Same :O im like 15 and a guy dammit haha

  • @XOniMajoraX right there with you bro

  • On every relieving note of this song the pianist presses two keys simultaneously to make it sound as if he or she has messed up. Of course the pianist hasn't messed up; Through that one little intentional mess up, it symbolizes the fact that even relief itself can be painful as shown in Seven Pounds.

  • where can I find this song? Is it available on iTunes?

  • @crowekirstin1 yes it is on itunes type in legend of 1990 and you will find it its da 1st song

  • thank you master.

  • best thing ever :D

  • Ennio Morricone: A real composer, a real genius.

  • italians do it better X]

  • One of the most amazing soundtracks ever and what a special film

  • AMAZING

  • honestly one of the best soundtracks ive heard for a long time

  • the dissonances gives this song so much more emotions and meanings. it seem to say that life with all its imperfections is still beautiful. love it.

  • those fuckin accidentals....

one of the greatest instrumentals ever performed

  • theyre not accidentals. theyre deliberate dissonances :)

  • love it./............................:)

  • makes me cry every time! :D

  • This song....is...unbelieveable. I feel like this song is traveling through my soul and healing me in a way....It is almost like this song understands me. And now im about to cry xD.

  • amazing use of the minor 2nd! so well placed and resolved! :-)

  • when i fell in love with this girl, the day she kissed me, i just listened to this over & over when i got home. ah the memories.

  • @XxMDAxX What is worst,I know that feel...Every note touch your heart and it heart in beughtifull way....

  • Simply the best. what can i say, Ennio Morricone is truly the master of ost's.

  • cry everytime

  • me too!

  • I am brought to tears each and every time I listen this song. I don't know what it is that this song does to me but I feel like in a way it makes me feel closer to a higher power, and I look at life with new eyes. The movie was brilliant... his selflessness was so sad yet inspirational. *sigh* Hands down this is most beautiful piano piece I have EVER heard.

  • @dmckin4054 he killed himself out of guilt though. when he got in the accident, he couldn't forgive himself, so he gave himself away and eventually his heart. that was half out of love and half guilt.

  • i cant help but to cry..
