  • I miss the Atlanta Flames , we did have some tough guys back in those days and we didn't back down from any team that tried to make a run at us . I still won't forget when Curt Bennett knocked out Don Maloney of the Rangers with one punch and nobody came to his aid or messed with Bennett during that game . I miss you Flames , thanks for posting this moment for this old Flames fan !

  • @MrWillc1975 Actually, he knocked out Dave Maloney, not his brother, don. I was at that game at Madison Square Garden!!!! If I remember correctly, it was a cheap sucker punch.

  • haha sometimes thinking...those are adult humans and they shouldnt fights like little boys because they are adults.

Thats retarded action i think sometimes.

    There is nice fightning.

  • Ken Houston.... he was the one that broke Dave Shultz jaw...lol!!!!

  • Actually Atlanta had a pretty rugged squad in those days with the likes of Big Willi Plett, Harold Phillipoff, Ribble, Shand, Marsh, Houston, and Phil Russell. Not the best grouping, but certainly big and able to mix it with most teams. Plett was pretty solid back then, as was Phil Russell.

  • Flames kicked some butt
