Rivendell is one of the places I miss most in LotRO.....the flowers, the majestic mountain vistas, the sound of the waterfalls, the Last Homely House & all the epic characters: Gandalf's wise comments, Bilbo's riddles & a walk with Frodo. Sam, Merry & Pippin. Lady Arwen hidden up in her hilltop abode, overlooking the vale. Plus Aragorn, Boromir & Legolas at the guest house. And the crafting area - wow! It's soo amazing! Thanks for sharing. :-)

Yeah, that is a downside to the game, but not a problem with the game so much as people. While people still LOVE to play WoW, you don't see many players in LOTRO.

No, this game takes place BEFORE the Fellowship of the Ring and shortly after the Hobbit. Right now, as said previously, the game has opened up to Lorien. Minas Tirith, Edoras, and Isengard are not open yet as the storyline hasn't reached that far yet. Also, Edoras/Rohan are SOOO much better than Gondor/Minas Tirith imo.

You don't get killed in this game. Instead of HP, you have morale. When your morale reaches 0, then you have the option to retreat to the nearest rallying circle or a minstrel can bring you back from defeat with his morale-raising tunes. It's a very lore-true way they've handled it. Though it takes some rocks to be facing down a raging bear with a lute.

Yep, the game has now just included the Mines of Moria as well as Lothlorien. The Mines of Moria is insanely huge and introduced a new, powerful engine that allows them to efficiently render extremely large rooms. This truly gives Khazad-dum an awe-inspiring sense of size.

i can't play as i would just feel too unimportant in the lotro world. i dont want to be an expendable asset of some large generic army; i want to be right in the fellowship, TRULY battling for the fate of middle earth. i dont want to meet gandalf; i want to BE gandalf. tolkien created a vast world but he made that worlds story limited and specific, with no way of it straying into some shadow war. the game will have to end when the story does so i'll save myself the trouble and get off here.

As Tolkien wrote many stories about Middle Earth.

Also now that Lotro has as many subscribers it does now once they have cleared the three books they could just go onto "new" grounds and make up there story as they go along.

You can pay monthly or you can opt to do a lifetime membership and never have monthly payments. If you're used to WoW, you'll have a hard time transitioning, but once you're used to LOTRO you can't go back. Same for myself and many many other people I've converted.

No ... you need at least dual 8800 GTX. Dude... look at those graphics... a single 8800 GTX card would fry, 90% of systems cant even play this game because the graphics are almost next gen. I dunno how they did it... games like Crysis, Assassins Creed and Call of Duty 4 should really take a take a leaf out of LotRO's book and get some real grapics

well i joined wow on christmas b4 bc came out so i wouldnt know how it was like before bc but it wouldnt be fun sticking with 60 for ever....and they cant add much more ideas cuz they've pretty much dun evrything, and lich king will most definatly make a differance new class, dungeons, weapons, areas BC made a difference most ppl spend thier time in the BC part of the game.... no1 in molten core or scholo ne more :S

It's an MMORPG they're ALL almost alike except from their minor differences WoW didnt steal anything it was inspired by D&D (not the online one) all MMORPG's r 90% alike, you gain exp, you level up, you do quests, you can get armour & weapons, you meet other ppl, you free raom through environments.... thats what is in EVERY MMORPG made.....

The game is very new and Rivendell lies behind fairly high level zones, hence there weren't many people around. In other zones hundreds of people walk around. It's a full MMORPG, not like guild wars.
