I spoke with a person who was protesting, and he told me that most people are unaware of this. The circus was recently fined $270,000 for the abuse of their animals. the intention is really cruel but to be honest elephants have very thick hides it's probably just a tickle to them. War elephants used to be able to take arrows without so much of a problem so I am assuming these whips are really nothing to them. But overall what the trainer is intending is relatively bad.

All circus acts shouldn't be shut down because a few trainers are being cruel. The elephants are probably irritated by the face tapping, but if it really bothered them, they'd squash a handler or two. Because elephants are F***ing huge. If you do not teach a tiger dominance from an early age, when you turn around, the thing will not hesitate to tear your throat out and drink your blood. When I was training my puppy I used food and love as a reinforcement and she took to me immediately. Pain does NOT encourage animals to do a trick, they do it because they don't want to be hit. Exotic animals like these elephants do not want to perform tricks to please humans like our dogs and (sometimes) cats.

I hope all of you watching this take it with a grain of salt. Number one..... The sound effects are dubbed in to pull at your heart strings. Number two.... I work with animals, own them love them train them and groom them, and I know that animals communicate physically with each other in a way that seems "beastly" to us. People want to see elephants in the circus, these owners/handlers are only controling the giant creatures in the only way humans can. I wouldn't be able to do it personsonally.

Those whips didnt seem so bad. I imagine that elephants have thicker skin than cows, and you can do a lot to a cow before it even notices.

All circus acts shouldn't be shut down because a few trainers are being cruel. The elephants are probably irritated by the face tapping, but if it really bothered them, they'd squash a handler or two. Because elephants are F***ing huge. If you do not teach a tiger dominance from an early age, when you turn around, the thing will not hesitate to tear your throat out and drink your blood. Because the tiger is bigger than you... and it's a f***ing tiger.

When I was training my puppy I used food and love as a reinforcement and she took to me immediately. Pain does NOT encourage animals to do a trick, they do it because they don't want to be hit. Exotic animals like these elephants do not want to perform tricks to please humans like our dogs and (sometimes) cats.

simple and complex.

I hope all of you watching this take it with a grain of salt. Number one..... The sound effects are dubbed in to pull at your heart strings. Number two.... I work with animals, own them love them train them and groom them, and I know that animals communicate physically with each other in a way that seems "beastly" to us. People want to see elephants in the circus, these owners/handlers are only controling the giant creatures in the only way humans can. I wouldn't be able to do it personsonally.
