  • Headhunters are trash... And I know from experience, I've bought over 5 pairs of them. Check out Regal Tip 5BX

  • hey very nice video man but do you think you could hit the the Zildjian el sonido a little bit louder or harder? I would like to hear the crash sound from it. Thanks!!

  • Nice ride!

  • please excuse me but i think all your cymbals suck.

    try some meinls ;)

  • @SexDrumsRocknRoll

obviously you're just a meinl fanboy. Saying Zildjian K custom's and A's suck? You have no idea what you are saying.

  • The sabian china you have may be around from the 80's. Because, sabian wasn't founded until the early 80's

  • You've also got a nice big bell ;D

  • Hey I was wondering if you would recommend the 17 el sonido for a 2nd crash mainly but also a ride at times or is it more of a ride cymbal type. Also is the crash a good rock/alternative kind of crash?

  • @terrifictrio125: The 17" El Sonido makes a dark, great-sounding Crash. As I mentioned in the cymbal tour, the cymbal works quite well as a nice pingy Ride, the closer you play it to the bell, in that unlathed hammered area. I use a piece of Moongel to tame the wash a bit and improve stick definition. I absolutely love this cymbal, the best thing about it is that almost nobody else has heard of them!

  • i just ordered my rezo ride! it sounds awesome!

  • If you want crisper sounding hi hats check out the Quick Beats.

  • Funny you should mention that...a few weeks ago, I picked up 13" QB's for $75, and I have a set of hollow ink logo 14" QB's coming in a few weeks. :) Quick Beats are awesome, they play crisper and noticeably faster.

  • heey i reaallly liked ur cymbals especially ur ride and hihats i will be geeting t nex beats but i was eondering if you recommend that rezo ride for metal ?

  • I certainly would think the ReZo Ride would work for metal due to the musical ping and great stick definition. It also has a very good bell and sounds decent when crashed. Try one out when you get the chance. :)

  • yeah defintley :) but thanks a lot for replying :)

  • in ur opinion metal drummers ......is an 18" 45" crash ride... is it useful??? ik u dont play metal....give it a try ttho=]

  • the el sonito is pretty much a multi purpose cymabal

  • Yes, that's exactly why I chose it--it does everything quite well. Ride, crash & bell. Fantastic cymbal!

  • I hate logos; I removed them with a bit of acetone. Acetone works great to remove black logos from clear heads, or white logos from black heads. Logos look like crap when they've been hit a hundred times, and the ink ends up on your cymbals as pip-marks.

  • thanks that's a good idea y don't you remove the logos from your cymbal

  • It might affect the resale value, and because I don't have problems with cymbal ink getting on my drum heads. ;) When it comes to cymbals, I leave logos as is. If they're there, fine, if they're faded or gone, fine. :)

  • yea but i prefer no logos because it give the kit a clean professional look

  • Different strokes for different folks. I'm not too concerned with looking professional, because...I have Sonor Delites! ;)

  • thats true

  • I Love my Delites as well! Excellent quality drums! (Got them for a steal too).... Nice setup man :)

  • what brand of cymbals do you prefer

  • Don't really have a preference. Whatever sounds good gets a permanent spot in my playing kit, regardless of the brand. My cymbals are Zildjians (new and vintage), Sabians (mostly newer) and a few Saludas. They all sound great to me, in their own way. I've also heard lots of crappy-sounding cymbals from all the same brands. ;)

  • what heads are thoses

  • Remo Ebony Ambassadors. Single-ply. Tone-wise, they would be somewhere between Clear Ambassadors and Coated Ambassadors. If you like your drums warm and resonant, they're a good choice. :)

  • the aa sabian thin crash sounds like a high hat lol

  • Not to my ears...it's thinner & lighter than all but one of my hihats, none of which sound good as a Crash. Hihats all tend to sound gongy when used as a Crash. The AA Thin Crash has a silvery, crystally crash sound, which is why I wanted it. I love the 14/15/16" Sabian AA or AAX Crashes in Thin or Extra Thin weight. Beautiful sound, to my ears anyway. :)

  • ahaha! yeah thanks for replying ! :D

  • i wish i had as many cymbals as u but i dont have the room

  • Buy a good micro for recording!!! No one can hear the cymbals!!!

  • I hear them just fine when watching this video on YouTube. Maybe you should check your system volume? :)

I won't be buying a mic anytime soon, I can't afford it. But if you want to buy me one, feel free and I'll give you my shipping address!

  • nice phlosophy

    nice kit btw

  • hit the cymbals hareder please you cant really hear them anyway nice cymbals

  • I would kill for that rezo ride!

  • Personally, I think your 17inch Zildjian has a better bell tone than your actual ride cymbal. but that just in my own opinion. Nice set-up man.

  • I'd agree with that. :) The El Sonido is a much lighter cymbal with a bigger bell. Still, I like the ReZo's bell too, when I want to play a more subtle bell sound.

  • Thanks for your comments, guys! You might find this interesting, but except for the 2 new Zildjians, every one of those other cymbals each cost $40 or less (the Sabian AA Thin Crash cost me $52). Just keep watching eBay and eventually you'll get good deals too. It helps to do a lot of research first, so you know you're not getting junk beginner cymbals. ;)

  • i love your cymbals,i wish i had those.

  • And what are your other cymbals leaning against the wall?!?! I wanna see those too.... Do you perhaps have a fast crash? Thanks!

  • I have a couple vintage 14" Avedis Zildjians but they're too heavy for Crashes; they'd make a nice set of hihats, though. I have a 20" Avedis Ride from the early 60's, a 22" Avedis Ride from late 60's, 14" Saluda HybridX Paper-Thin Crash, 16" Sabian B8 with crack I repaired, 18" Paiste "Super" Extremely Thin Crash (early 60's) and a 10" Zildjian K Splash with 1/2" crack (didn't repair yet). None cost me more than $40 on eBay. :)

  • Great cymbals! I really love the bell on your Zildjan that you use for a kind of ride. And youtube changed the format!
