The way I see "contest" calling is the person showing off everything he and that call can do, if you listen to enough, they get down and dirty in the low ends like you might when hunting, and that intro really high pitched ringin hail call would be like a mimic of a long drawn out hail call in a big loud open water calling situation...correct me if i'm wrong
I hate all these people that get on here and run thier mouth. It's a comp call! The 25 o 40 note hails are for mainstreet competitions. The point in mainstreet comp's is to show mastery and complete control of the call from top to bottom. He doesn't use the long hails to actually call ducks.

This call rips and i've used it all year at my refuge at my honey hole and have whacked and stacked it with this the feeder call rolls over so smooth my go to call on my lanyard , but for spots where i dont need to be loud i use the buck gardner buck brush which is a true spit tech

No where under any circumstance have I ever heard a mallard make that kind of sound with that many notes in the 30+ years I have been duck hunting. I understand distance calling but this was pretty rediculous.
yeah i havent been hunting that long or nothing but if i wanted to make a sound like that id just go get me a trumpet and blow it. cause to be thats exactly what it sounded like
@SCduckwhacker234 There are 3 types of duck calling Meat,Mainstreet,and Live duck Meat is hunting style thats what i like calling your goin to go out and blow what you would while hunting, and Mainstreet you wanna be loud and faster and have control of the call
@MyRanchMyRules if that were the case the first round a real duck would be DQ the purpose is to sound 100% better than a real duck. You are perfecting what a real duck would do

I don't really follow how a person can sound 100% better than a real duck or perfect what a real duck would do. Are you suggesting that a duck is trying to sound like what this guy is sounding like and can't ? Either way I get the picture that this guy is trying to showcase this call for competitions and he is apparently good at what he is doing.
