The rendevous ran from 1825 till 1840,while this fort, and this event , depicts a time between 1700 and roughly 1812.Wyoming is also about 1800 miles west of , and nowhere near , Alabama, which is where this fort is.
Why would you think this event has ANYTHING to do with the mountain men ? This event depicts colonial life on the east coast , dealing with an era in history that took place BEFORE the time of the mountain men ? I can assure you that even if there were such a thing as a rendevous at that time ( Which there was NOT,) nobody was going to travel from Alabama to Wyoming to attend when they could easily obtain ANYTHING they needed, at a MUCH cheaper price from anywhere in the East.
A least when they gathered twice a year for Rendezvous they did, everyone would gather and bring in their furs and other items for trade at the Fort, the Fur Company would host a party or two for them...
The way that daily life has changed over the last couple of hundred years is truly astounding; just think about how slowly technological change occurred before that!
Very impressive and enjoyable, thanks for posting.
