So I took the gamble...It absolutely works spot on! Only downside on my end I did not have sensibly sharp scissors, rather what I call the worlds dullest scissors. Sharp scissors are a MUST MUST do not skimp. Otherwise my fringe/bangs came out beautifully. Totally try it, it really is THAT easy.

Awesome. That you so much. I've been doing it by eye, meaning judging with my eye and trying to create the curve - which messed up every time because the sides would never be even, so I'd cut more, and again, then end up just cutting blunt straight across. lol I'm new at this, so forgive me for such ignorance. @StevinSto lots of hairstylists cut bangs on dry hair because when you cut wet hair, it shortens as it dries. so just be careful and don't overestimate how much you want to cut off.

So that's how they do it!! Too bad blunt bangs don't work for me even though they look awesome because of my high forehead and long face. I have a darn cow lick on the side of my right hairline so maintenance is outrageous to keep it flat. I like that technique for the face framing layers. I wonder how it would work if I did that and skipped the first part with the bangs.
