It is sad to see, that there is a discussion about the German image at this awesome video. Germany has a history noone can be proud of. Even I as a German don't want to justify anything of the time between 1933 and 1945. But instead of blaming us for our history, although this generation is almost completely gone, we all have to think of a way to prevent ANY country of a dictator like Hitler.

I can assure you that neither ALL the brits nor ALL the germans are racists. I know quite of both. The only real distinction is German history. There are racists in every country. And people who decline to learn any other than the their own (and often not even that one) are common in all countries with lots of inhabitants: USA, Russia, France, Germany, UK. Europe changes things only slightly. And no, English did not develop from German.

@dermaschool um, you have it backwards. it is not illegal to hold Nazi movements in the U.S. There are American Nazi Parties in states all over the U.S, I've met these people, the chairperson in my state (Missouri) has a car with the vanity plate "Aryan1".
In Germany however it is illegal for the Nazi symbolism to be shown, even on the DVD cases of movies about WWII, the laws are very strict and it's taken extremely seriously by Germans.

And WW2 started in 1939, they were supposed to be civilized enough to avoid the horrendous and massive crimes against humanity they commited.
