It's good the hunter stayed calm and fired off a warning shot...that way the cubs still have a mom to teach them how to survive.

@happydragon5077 But in that situation with a bear charging at you with that kind of speed you only have seconds to react so in reality it is possible to get off a warning shot, but almost impossible to asses the situation afterwards to see if the warning shot was either effective at scaring the charging bear off, or if it is necessary to pump another round in the chamber of a shotgun, or cycle the bolt of a BA rifle for a direct contact shot. Its a big gamble to attempt a warning shot first.
