Haha, I'm just like everyone else. I tasted a tiny bit of apple at first but it quickly turned to strong black licorice and I HATE IT! Luckily I only bought 50grams. I want to give it a chance but I really dislike it, funny my father loves that taste.

Hey Hookahpro,

I enjoy your reviews quite a bit and I thoroughly enjoy smoking shisha (I personally hate the word hookah). I was wondering what your take on the health aspects of shisha, seeing as by your "profession" you seem to smoke quite often. I'd be interested in hearing your opinion on this! Let me know.

hahaha shit i bought this exact same one and I was the one to take the puff, I had to re examine the shisha to make sure i was smoking double apple because all i tasetd was black licorice! ughh what a huge disappoint this was for me and all my friends....

@stavs16 Bummer you didn't like it. Black licorice / anise is definitely an acquired taste. Don't give up on it though .. I hated it at first, but now I LOVE it! Cheers!

Hay sambookah your hookah is beutiful. And hookah is my life i have 5 at home all customized and my favourite fkavour is double apple Al Fakher i love it OMG. but i need a few tips if possible on how to get MAX flavour out of your hookah and what to use pelase. YOu and you wife are a beutiful couple wish you's all the best. :)

@TheGeneral23Q Thanks for the great comments! I am a big fan of double apple. I just put some cold water in the base, Vortex bowl, heavy duty aluminum foil with random small holes. And I use natural coal, like Coconara. That combination gives me some easy to manage hookah. I just rotate the coals every 15 minutes or so.

@hookahpro i find with a windcover like the one you have there, if kept one from start to finish, with most shishas, you don't have to rotate the coals, especially cocos. or is it that im not doing it and missing out on something important? please enlighten me haha. as for now im off to smoke this flavor! i too acquired the taste for anise, kept giving it a shot due to your recommendations haha thanks for that. happy smoking :D

Nice review. I've never tried the al fakher 2. But i have tried the al fakher two apples. I love the two apples. And i don't mind the anise flavor. One thing i noticed is that the shisha has a better apple flavor if you use a screen instead of foil. If you use foil you get better clouds and a stronger anise flavor. But the clouds out of the screen is still pretty good as well.

one thing i say though, is that the box says double apple,, not double black licorice? but thanks for the reviews, if it weren't for these reviews we would have no idea that it is black licorice.

I have smoked Al Fakher double-apple and I didn't like it at all because it is as you said ANUS.

I would much prefer to smoke Nakhla double-apple cuz it tastes like APPLE. And it's not liqurish at all. << misspelled sorry.

btw, why don't get a diffuser for your hookah? I have made one out of foil. You don't have to buy one if don't wanna. Now my hookah is very quiet when i draw. And the smoke is much cooler and thicker.

hahaha to be honest it started out just for fun for a scuba dive cuz I had to shave off the mustache so my mask would seal properly at 100ft+. Anyway, all my female friends said "Oh hell no, you need to shave that off!" lol so I don't shave it just because they tell me I have to! I will shave it off Jan 2010. In the meantime though, my girlfriend thinks it's edgy and she likes it :) so no harm ;) .. glad you enjoyed the video, we provided some good information .. a little long but informative ..
