  • Well I'm curious. Seeing this video and comments were 8 months ago, I'm wondering what happened with your move. Did you get to Vermont?

  • I'm glad you left some breadcrumbs so we could find you, and glad to hear you're not changing your style! You're still my favorite liberal cowboy! Mwah! Don't forget to include me in any Chicago plans!

  • I thought this was just perfect! I've been wondering all those things...when& where you are moving and why? So glad you care enough to keep us up to date. I can't wait to see all your future stuff!! Oh and don't forget me on your next trip to Chicago! K? =] ((hugs))

  • Thanks! You are on the top of the list when we get back to Chicago. Cheers!

  • Always good to see that biblical face of yours, David!

That's a big change you're making, from blazing hot New Mexico to Vermont. That would be akin to an Aussie moving from the red centre of Australia to Tasmania. I do like my winters too so I can appreciate your thinking, plus of course a decent water supply. I'd say everyone is looking forward to your upcoming tours...and of course i'll pimp you. Are you kidding? Do you think i'd risk hell?

    Cheers mate. :)

  • Thank you! Hell is not a nice place for those who enjoy winter. What with all the melted snow and ice. Cheers!

  • I'm from New Hampshire but have lots of family in Vermont. It's a great state. I've done MANY hours of skiing in Vermont! You'll love it. Good to see you.

  • Next time you're up in that neck of the woods we'll have go shooting and drink some beer!

  • drinking and shooting! Spoken like a true New Englander.

  • I've live most of my life out West and you can believe me when I say it is definitely part of the culture here. But I do admit I don't mix to the two for good reason. I should have showed my little shooting area near my house on this last video. It was about 400 meters to the north of where I was at.

  • By the way.. being a history buff, I dig the new user name. Although it wasn't one of the DMWD's greatest achievements!

  • Nice, Russ! It was either Grand Panjandrum or Nonpareil. But Grand Panjandrum won out because of its cadence and internal rhyme.

  • Okay, I enjoy history, but I don't get it. I did pick up on the internal rhyme. Nonpareil is a candy and I think this is more masculine.

  • DUDE! Welcome back!

Great to see you on here again!

  • Thanks! Are you ever coming back?

  • I was really close in my guess, I think. I seem to think I said New Hampshire when I guessed.

I'm so excited about the tours! Yay!

Skiing: the opportunity to throw myself down a mountain at speed. Given my history of broken bones, not a good idea :-P

    I'll pimp ya!

  • I'll be your ho any day. Cheers!

  • Wish I could get me some global warming. I'm freezing my arse off.

Of course I think you live in Paradise. You already know that.

    GREAT to see YOU!!!

  • Thanks for stopping by!

We had a week of weather so cold I thought I was duck hunting. THEN it got warm enough for t-shirt and shorts, then a couple COOOOLLDD days and now its warm again.

    Cheers!

  • What a view! But I have to admit that mountains scare me a little, maybe because I grew up in one of the flattest parts of germany... I'm getting slightly claustrophobic when I can't see far enough. Looking forward to some touring with you! =)

  • Well I hope you enjoy my little slice of the planet. It is very distinct!

  • I think North Americans can do allot too stop global warming. We tend to think it is all government and industry but %40 of green house gases come from private automobiles.

  • I agree. New Mexico is a beautiful place the water issues, and how they are exacerbated by climate change, will only get worse over the next 10-20 years. We are going for a simple rural lifestyle and live closer to the land.

  • thats going to be quite some change in climate for you and your family i guess.

and a 200years old house, sounds kinda awesome :)

    until then ..

*fastening my seat belt for the tour* .. lets go! :)

  • But we are looking forward to being in the real winter. I know its crazy but we love the snow.
